Dennis Wise has today claimed that Mike Ashley will only sell Newcastle to someone who will ‘take the club forward’ when asked about a potential takeover during yet another shameless appearance on Sky Sports.
Wise – the former Executive Director of Football at Newcastle United – also believes that Ashley ‘cares for Newcastle’ despite running the club in a ‘structured way’, with the 52-year-old defending the fact he doesn’t ‘pile hundreds of millions into the club’.
Here’s what Wise has had to say about his old pal Mike Ashley during his chat with David Craig in front of the Sky Sports cameras today:
“I know Mike Ashley, and he cares for Newcastle, even if fans say he doesn’t.
He runs them in a structured way. He’s not there to pile hundreds of millions into the club.
“He’ll only sell to someone who’ll take it forward.”
I don’t know what else Sky expected here, with Wise being biased as ever, with his comments almost mimicking exactly what he said about Ashley and a potential sale 12 months ago.
Biased and regurgitated stuff from Wise.
Let’s just hope this isn’t the prelude to news that the takeover has collapsed – with Wise’s last defence of Ashley coming just before a recent failed bid if memory serves me correctly.

Yet again you state biased comments from Wise when if fact your biased comments from this Blog towards the owner who is always the villain, I’m not a lover of the owner or manager only the club. Time people started to think what is best for the club, here are three .
1 Replace the owner, the new owner who will spend millions on players and improvements.
2 Finalise the best manager that is available.
3 Release players to improve the funds available.
No 1 Is in progress and lets chill and let it run its course.
No 2 If the manager signs his contract fine, if not find the best replacement.
No 3 Having to wait for the manager situation to be sorted out to start this process.
The club is not responsible for all actions that is divided between all parties, let’s be positive for the future it can only get better, not worse HWTL

We’re ‘biased’ against Ashley as there is PROOF that he has been an absolutely awful owner who is driving this club into the ground.
