Sky Sports: Rafa Benitez agrees his next move – Annoucement imminent

Rafa Benitez has agreed to become the new manager of Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang according to various reports tonight.

Sky Sports report that he could be announced as their new boss as early as tomorrow, with the Times’ George Caulkin also confirming the rumour claiming he was all set for China.

Keith Downie – Sky’s north east reporter – claims Rafa will earn over double the salary he received at St James’ Park, with it said that he’ll now earn £12m per year after tax.

Here’s Rafa’s message to Newcastle fans following the expiration of his contract:

To say I feel devastated, deflated and lost without our one ray of hope in Rafa is an understatement.

This, for me, is Mike Ashley’s biggest mistake yet – and that takes some doing.

Only a takeover can save us now..
