Conflicting Ayoze Perez reports emerge after he agrees terms & undergoes medical at Leicester

Sky Sports have now confirmed that Ayoze Perez has now AGREED personal terms with Leicester and is undergoing a medical as we speak, but conflicting reports have emerged regarding the transfer fee.

Both Sky Sports and the Chronicle are reporting that the fee will be £30m – with the latter claiming that a release clause has been activated – however it’s being reported elsewhere that the fee we receive will be almost HALF this figure.

John Percy – The Telegraph’s reporter for the Midlands – claims that the Spaniard’s release clause is in fact £16m, with him saying the following in a piece that confirms a £56m double-deal involving Youri Tielemans and Ayoze Perez:

“Perez will cost a fee of around £16m, which was his release clause at Newcastle, and personal terms will be a formality.”

If the latter is true and it’s £16m, this is an absolute bargain and yet more disappointing news for us to digest.

I don’t expect Ashley to spend much on a replacement even if it was £30m we were due to receive, but £16m would leave us incredibly limited when it comes to a competent replacement.

Fat ******* out only ashlie lovers to attend sjp next season no excuses traitors not welcome

    That’s funny!

Ashley has run down the club for 12 years or so, but what tipped the scales for you?

Ashley is part and parcel of supporting the club, if you want to be a fair weather fan, then that’s fine but don’t have a go at the real fans, just because you don’t want to play any more.
