Joelinton now ‘on his way’ to NUFC to complete club record move from Hoffenheim – Reports

According to reports in Germany, Joelinton has been left out of Hoffenheim’s squad today, with the Brazilian now in talks to complete a move to Newcastle United.

This comes from German outlet ‘Kicker’, who claim the 22-year-old has now been pulled out of a friendly against Jahn Regensburg today after negotiations with Newcastle United have ‘advanced quickly’.

German outlet BILD have also backed up these claims from Kicker, saying a €40m (£36m) move is now ‘imminent’.

Interestingly, Sky Sports’ Martin Tyler stated before our game with Wolves that “word from within the camp” was that the Brazilian would sign over the coming days.

As laughable as it sounds, this would add up given Steve Bruce’s appointment has now been confirmed by the club – suggesting signings can finally be made (not that he has a huge say on the matter by all accounts!).

What’s unbelievable in all of this is the fact Ashley could be set to back Steve Bruce with a £36m signing. Where was this money for Rafa, Mike?

That said, this would be quite a surprise and a real coup for the club should we pull this one off, with him one of the Bundesliga’s most exciting young talents who’d become our new record signing, however this must only be the start of our summer business if it happens.

Time will tell, but, based on today’s hammering at the hands of Wolves, several quality signings are essential if we wish to stay up this season!

  1. Poor ******* ! He’ll be gone by January if not in May when the ship finally sinks below the waves

  2. Let’s look at the big picture. FCB Is many things but stupid is not one of them. He forced Rafa out and replaced him with an unambiguous yes man who is there as a scapegoat. I predict that we will not go down this season. FCB will spend enough to ensure this then portray the appointment of cabbage head as a master stroke and that all us stupid real fans were wrong all along. If we do go down he will take the massive parachute payment and we will go up by a massive points total the season after, without Bruce at the helm. FCB has no intention of selling. He’s been at our club for umpteen years now because it’s a business that makes him money and provides free advertising, and while both of these continue to happen he WILL NOT LEAVE. He doesn’t care about what we think of him or his cronies. He doesn’t care about the threat of boycotts or protests because he knows that come the arsenal game there will be 40000 fans in the ground. 10000 unsold season tickets does not bother him one jot. It’s £5m that he will more than take out of our club again and again. We are fighting a battle we will never win because nufc will always be a massive cash cow for him. The only way he will go is when we stop making him money and he will never let that happen. Expect £80m to £100m being spent this season and a mid table finish and then watch fatty help himself to the riches that follow. It has happened now for year after year and will continue to do so. We will still be in this position five years from now. The only way to stop it is to empty the stadium permanently!!Are we strong enough for this to happen? I doubt it. Every fan who gives him £500 a year, every year, or buy the tat from his high street jumble sales you only have yourselves to blame. NUFC forever, Ashley out!!!!!
