According to Keith Downie, Steve Bruce has confirmed to Sky Sports in an ‘exclusive interview’ that Allan Saint-Maximin IS a player Newcastle are interested in signing.
Sky Sports have also claimed that we have had TWO bids rejected for the Nice winger, claiming the Ligue 1 side have valued the winger at ‘around £20m’.
This comes after RMC Sport claimed earlier today that we’d had a £14m bid turned down by the French side – a story that fits in with that Keith Downie is reporting above, with RMC claiming that they are hoping to receive a fee closer to the £18m mark.
As a result, the Chronicle’s Lee Ryder has also weighed in on the Saint-Maximin front in the last few moments, stating that talking are ongoing between Newcastle and Nice:
