Transfer ‘exclusive’ claims NUFC plan to hijack Aston Villa’s move for Liverpool winger

According to an ‘exclusive’ from Football Insider’s Peter O’Rourke, Newcastle are plotting a late move to sign Aston Villa target Harry Wilson.

The highly-rated 22-year-old winger is now back at Liverpool after an outstanding loan spell at Derby last season, however it looks like the club could cash in on him this summer.

Wilson bagged an impressive 18 goals and 6 assists in the Championship last season and is said to want regular game time over the coming season.

Sky Sports credited us with an interest in the £25m-rated talent in May, but Football Insider now claim that a loan deal is also being discussed (as well as a potential permanent one).

It’s hard to know if we are looking for one or TWO new wingers this summer, but the new links to Wilson means he is now one of several wide men we are looking at with Nice’s Allan Saint-Maximin, Hull’s Jarrod Bowen and Vasco da Gama’s Marrony also heavily linked.

  1. firstly as a villa fan i wish you luck with this signing as villa have 4 wingers already so any talk of villa wanting him is just to bump the price up for you guys . while i’m wishing you luck i best extend that to your manager his tactics need a trex up front and a triceratops at the back (he’s not a modern manager) you will see your team defend 95% of the time as when he was managing villa he had the most attacking squad in the championship but still kept the shackles firmly on . i feel sorry for you guys i really do .
