Official announcement reveals new third kit – & NUFC fans are all saying the same thing

The club have revealed our new third kit for the 2018/19 season – a bright orange top that has divided opinion on social media.

That said, it’s not the kit that most fans are commenting on in response to the club’s latest announcement – it’s the lack of signings!

With us now barely having 10 days left to do business, it’s not the clubs new third kit that we want to see being announced, it’s new arrivals.

As it stands, it’s reported that we have agreed a fee for Stanley N’Soki, yet there’s said to have been issues over the contract we’re offering, with him out in China as we speak on a pre-season tour with PSG!

Then to Allan Saint Maximin. This one has been rumbling away for well over a week now and, despite several reports/journalists claiming it’s ‘close’, we’re yet to hear of a major breakthrough on that front.

And then to deals for a much-needed striker, right-back and midfielder. As far as a striker goes, I can’t help but feel we’re relying on free-agent Andy Carroll to prove his fitness and sign a ‘pay as you play’ type deal next month, while a new midfielder seems unlikely to me now Hayden’s staying and Colback and Matty Longstaff have ‘impressed’ Bruce during pre-season.

Then to right-backs, it’s claimed we’re looking at Swedish international Emil Krafth, yet the Sun’s Alan Nixon has just claimed that we’ve deemed Amiens’ asking price to be ‘too high’ – despite the fact they’re wanting just over £2m and the player himself ‘wants to come’.

If Mike Ashley and co. are serious about staying up – never mind securing shirt sales – they’d best get a move on in the 10 days that remain of the transfer window!
