Fee agreed & long-term target ‘keen’ to sign – Only Lee Charnley could mess this up..

After agreeing a fee with PSG for long-term target Stanley N’Soki, the Chronicle now claim that we’ve been told to make a decision on a move for the £11m left-back…TODAY.

We all know about Newcastle United’s tedious transfer policy under Mike Ashley, seeing us look for high-potential players under the age of 26 who are available at reasonable prices, but N’Soki ticks every box here.

Not only that, a fee has been agreed (which is often the hard part for us!) and it’s been reported once again today that the 20-year-old talent is eager to complete a move to St James’ Park.

Just about everything is in place and the Chronicle state that the player has sent his contract demands to the club – something which shouldn’t be difficult to agree to given he’s said to be on a low wage at PSG after only recently signing his first professional with the Ligue 1 champions.

In short, this is a deal we should NOT be messing up – especially when there’s just a week left to do business and this is a potential bargain for a highly-rated left-back and long-term target of ours.

What’s more, Lee Charnley even admitted prior to the JANUARY window that the club would be sanctioning a move for a new left-back, with this being an area we’ve needed to strengthen for several years now.

Barreca arrived on loan, but this is our perfect chance to bring in an exciting young talent for a reasonable fee on a PERMANENT deal.

With a fee agreed, money to spend, the player keen to sign and time running out, we have absolutely no excuse not to get this deal done.

Meanwhile, it’s being reported by RMC that Charnley is now in Nice and ‘confident’ of finalising a £16.5m deal (+ bonuses) for Saint-Maximin. Time will tell if that one gets ‘over the line’.

  1. Sharpy17:
Garbage – the Chronicle know absolutely nothing!!.

Not sure why they’d make it up.

In fairness, the lad has just been sent back to France after not being used in their latest pre-season friendlies, so I’m sure he does want to know what’s going on re. his future.

If a fee is agreed and he’s keen to sign, there’s not much left to do..

  2. I’m loving the emphasis on the negative as usual. Would’ve gone to have a transfer that has a happy ending.

Journalism seems to be all about doom and gloom and looking for the negatives.

    😡

  3. Is it not normal for the player to come over to the club to negotiate. Charnley is probably having a break on Ashleys yacht.

  4. Is this where you rave about the kid then slag people off on twitter if Rafa comes out and says he didnt want him?? Just like you raved about Mitrovic but are now slagging people off on Twitter for saying they preferred him to Rondon?

You are a fraud Olly….you jump on every bandwagon for popularity.
