According to Sky Italy, Newcastle United are in talks to sign highly-rated Inter Milan striker Facundo Colidio.
This comes from Gianluca Di Marzio, who claims that Newcastle will make a decision on the deal in the ‘coming hours’ after Inter sanctioned an initial loan deal for the 19-year-old wonderkid.
An option to buy is mentioned, but the story states that there would be a ‘counter-option in favour of Inter’ inserted into the deal. A potential buy-back clause perhaps?
The Italian journalist states that Leeds United have also shown interest in the forward, but claims that Inter Milan are now waiting on a response from Newcastle after setting their conditions for the deal.
Colidio is an Argentinian U-20 international who has bagged 3 goals in 9 appearances form his country, also scoring 5 goals in 5 games for Inter Milan in last season’s UEFA Youth League.
