Sky Sports reveal fee NUFC look set to pay for Emil Krafth – Medical imminent

After Swedish reports claimed Emil Krafth will sign for Newcastle United, Sky Sports’ Keith Downie has confirmed that the right-back is now travelling to Tyneside as we speak ahead of a medical.

Sky Spots’ North-East reporter also reveals that the fee is ‘around £5m’, revealing that Newcastle and Amiens have now reached an agreement for the Swedish international.

Here’s what he’s had to say on Twitter in the last few moments, confirming that we look set to seal our 4th signing of the summer:

Krafth actually only signed permanently at Amiens this summer following a successful loan spell from Bologna, but it seems they’ve agreed to sell him immediately, with a £5m deal meaning they look set to make a quick £2.5m profit.

The 24-year-old right-back stands 6ft’ tall and has been capped 20 times for his country, with him featuring heavily in Sweden’s 2018 World Cup campaign.

He bagged 1 goal and 1 assist in 35 appearances in Ligue 1 last season and has previously played in Italy with Serie side Bologna.

  1. Think it’s an upgrade for sure. Bruce has addresses both the left and right back positions which we have been hurting at for years.
