Must-watch footage of Miguel Almiron & Matt Ritchie emerges after Spurs win – Incredible

Every single player involved put in a huge shift on Sunday to help us secure a superb 1-0 win away at Spurs, but two incredible clips have since emerged of Matt Ritchie and Miguel Almiron.

Just look at this footage below, starting with Matt Ritchie’s frantic sprint back in the 96th minute, showing just how much desire the 29-year-old had to preserve our 1-0 lead with just 30 seconds of the game remaining:

The to Almiron – a player who covered an incredible amount of ground yesterday to not only support Joelinton in attack and carry the ball forward on the counter attack, but also to get back and protect Emil Krafth in defence.

Here’s a clip of him in the 84th minute, almost running the length of the pitch to track Danny Rose’s late run – just seconds after trying to get in behind the Tottenham defence at the other end!

Not only that, just look at this clip of Joelinton, showing the big striker battling his way through several Spurs players in a bid to keep a hold of the ball late on:

These clips really do epitomise the incredible work rate and desire that existed within this Newcastle side on Sunday.

Not only did we look organised and disciplined as a team, but the effort level and commitment to the cause from an individual perspective was great to see.
