Some promising pictures have emerged from the club’s official website this afternoon, showing Andy Carroll back in first-team training for the first time.
Bruce confirmed yesterday that the 30-year-old took part in the first part of a ‘non contact’ session earlier this week, and NUFC.co.uk have now released pictures showing the Gateshead-born striker in action today.
The pictures also show that Fabian Schar and Emil Krafth have returned from international duty with Switzerland and Sweden respectively, while DeAndre Yedlin also appears to have take part after several months out with a groin injury.

It’s great to see the big man back in action, although it must be said that it may be a few weeks yet before we see him make his ‘second debut’.
Bruce’s comments yesterday suggested that it would be towards the end of this month or the middle of next when he returns, suggesting the away trip to Leicester (29th September) or home clash with Man Utd (6th October) could be dates to look out for.
