With us now 4 games into the new season, TalkSPORT’s ‘Super Computer’ has predicted where each and every Premier League club will finish in the 2019/20 standings.
Come mid-May next year, they predict that Newcastle will finish in 15th, having Norwich (20th), Aston Villa (19th) and Brighton (18th) to go down.
At the other end of the table, they’re backing Man City to win the title, Arsenal to earn a top 4 finish and both Man Utd and Chelsea to miss out on Champions League football in 5th and 6th respectively.
Here’s their predicted table:
- Man City
- Liverpool
- Tottenham
- Arsenal
- Man Utd
- Chelsea
- Leicester
- West Ham
- Everton
- Wolves
- Bournemouth
- Burnley
- Southampton
- Crystal Palace
- Newcastle United
- Sheff Utd
- Watford
- Brighton
- Aston Villa
- Norwich
This is their ‘September update’ and will no doubt change dramatically if Watford’s new boss hits the ground running or a fellow mid-table side suddenly goes on a dreadful losing streak, but it’s always interesting to see what the ‘experts’ are predicting – even if we are just four games into the new season.
As for our predicted finish, it’s sad to say but I’m sure many fans would bite your hands off for 15th right now, with many feeling we were destined to go down after we replaced Benitez with Bruce.
That said, we were superb at Spurs and picked up another point against Watford – which is more than we were doing this time last season.
Norwich to finish bottom is an interesting call. They’ve scored plenty goals and brushed us aside with ease last month, but they have conceded 10 goals in their opening 4 games so far – a stat which must improve if they’re to avoid to drop, no matter how many goals Pukki scores.
Where do you see us finishing this season and which three sides do you expect to see go down?
The TalkSport super computer hahahaha Darren Gough and Adrian Durham.
