Mo Salah comments on NUFC’s players & Steve Bruce ahead of Liverpool vs Newcastle

Mo Salah has warned teammates that Newcastle are ‘always tough’ to play against, praising our players and Steve Bruce.

The Egyptian goal machine believes we have a ‘good team’, ‘good players’ and a ‘good coach’ in Steve Bruce, but he’s wary of his team taking any opponents lightly given Liverpool lost out on the Premier League title by just one point last season.

Here’s what the forward – who’s scored 3 goals in 4 games so far this season – has had to say ahead of Saturday’s early kick off at Anfield:

“Newcastle is always tough home or away, the way they play.

They have a good team and good players and a good coach. We just need to focus on ourselves and do our job.

“Last season we lost the Premier League by one point and just need to keep focusing on each game right now.

We don’t need to lose any points.”

As if Saturday’s game wasn’t going to be tough enough, it’s also emerged that both Mo Salah and Sadio Mane are fresh and ‘rating to go’, with both Egypt and Senegal having a break from international football after their involvement in this summer’s African Cup of Nations.

The pair have been involved in a stunning 191 goals in 238 games for Liverpool, however they won’t be the only two to watch our for this weekend, with Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold also expert creators from wide areas, Roberto Firmino the link man in attack and Virgil Van Dijk monstrous from set pieces.

A huge tests awaits, but hopefully we do give them the ‘tough’ game Salah is expecting!
