I’m sure we’ll all agree that Newcastle United need all the help they can get right now, so Steve Bruce may be boosted by the team news coming from Manchester this morning.
The Red Devils come into Sunday’s game in awful form, but things have only got worse for Solksjaer, with FIVE first-team players expected to sit out of this weekend’s trip to St James’ Park.
Paul Pogba has been ruled out this morning, while Jesse Lingard is also set to miss out after limping off in last night’s 0-0 draw with AZ Alkmaar with a hamstring injury.
Elsewhere, another £120m of talent in Aaron Wan-Bisaka, Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw also look set to miss out:
It’s hard to see where our next win is coming from based on our last two performances, with us looking toothless at one end and all at sea at the other, but you can’t help but think this MIGHT just be our moment to steady the ship and secure our first home win of the season.
I’m not confident, but with Man Utd’s awful away form, their Thursday night excursions in the Europa League and their growing injury list in mind, this a big chance for Steve Bruce and his wounded NUFC players.
Let’s hope they can step up and finally deliver at St James’ Park. Failure to do so and serious questions will be asked.
