Double boost for Bruce as key NUFC duo are spotted back in training after months out

The club have released pictures of the squad in training today, confirming that key duo Matt Ritchie and Florian Lejeune were BOTH involved.

The Frenchman has been gradually stepping up his recovery following ACL surgery over the past few weeks, however Ritchie’s return to training suggests he may be in contention for the first time in two months this weekend.

The wing-back hasn’t featured since he suffered ankle ligament damage during our Carabao Cup clash with Leicester in August, but he’s been spotted training with the group at Benton today:

Florian Lejeune also appears to be back in full training – which is a great sign in itself – however it remains to be seen when Bruce will bring him back into the first-team fold.

We’re in no major rush to bring both back given Clark/Dummett and Willems have filled in well at centre-back and left wing-back respectively, however there can be no doubting that both are key first-team players who almost certainly start when fully fit.

Would you bring either (or both) into the side on Sunday?
