Long-term target opens the door to NUFC move when asked if he could leave in January

Hull City star Jarrod Bowen has been speaking about his future at the East Yorkshire club – and he’s done little to play down a potential January move to Newcastle United.

The impressive winger scored 22 goals last season, and already has 6 this season for the Championship club, and has been linked with a move to the Premier League, with our name being one of the most frequently mentioned.

Of course it’s an easy link to make considering Steve Bruce used to manage him at Hull, but Bowen is a talented 22-year-old we have ‘strong interest’ in according to the Chronicle.

Speaking to the Hull Daily Mail, Bowen gave some very cliched answers, sounding like a player who doesn’t want to say he wants to leave, but won’t shut the door on a potential exit. Read his interview below:

“If I leave, I leave, if I don’t, I am loving it here,”

“What will be, will be.

“I have just got to keep my head down, I have got agents that take care of all of that.

“I am playing football so I am not surprised that I didn’t leave”

“It’s out of my hands what happens off the pitch, I just have to perform on it.”

Given the fact Bowen’s contract will be up next summer as things stand, Hull might be willing to do a cut price deal in January rather than lose him for nothing in June, and that is exactly the kind of deal Ashley and Charnley love.

Let’s just hope if it does happen he can perform at a higher level.
