Alan Pardew’s first game back eventful as ever – A brilliant flag, big win & mad celebrations

After a 18-month break from the game, Alan Pardew is now back in football with Dutch side ADO Den Haag – and his first match in charge was eventful to say the least.

When Pardew arrived in Holland, his new club were in the relegation zone, without a home win in 3 months and had won just one of their last 12 league matches.

His first game arrived over the weekend at home to relegation rivals RKC Waalwijk, and not only did he come away with a 2-0 win (despite having just 30% possession!), there was a brilliant flag on display in the home end and some superb scenes after the full time whistle:

“If there’s something strange, in your neighbourhood, who you gonna call?” – Alan Pardew and Chris Powell apparently!

Here’s the scenes in the home end after Pardew guided the Eredivisie strugglers to a rare home win – taking them to within just 1 point of safety:

He failed miserably in his last relegation fight with West Brom, but it looks like he’s got off to a flyer in Holland!
