Newcastle ‘interested’ in La Liga star after discovering €12m release clause – Report

According to reports in Spain, Newcastle are continuing to show interest in La Liga defender Mohammed Salisu ahead of this summer’s transfer window.

We were credited with an interest in the Real Valladolid centre-back back in November last year, but Spanish outlet AS report today that we are one of FIVE clubs eyeing the 20-year-old talent this summer.

They claim that ourselves, Man Utd, Valencia, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are all showing interest – suggesting we’ll face stiff competition for his signature should this link be genuine!

Salisu stands 6ft 3′ tall and is a Ghanaian international who’s played 23 times in La Liga this season for Real Valladolid – who currently sit 15th in the Spanish top flight.
