A quick site update.

Up, up and away.
I just thought I would write this brief update on how the site is progressing. You guys make it tick, so I guess it’s only fair you get to know, right? That’s if you’re interested of course…

As most of you are aware, this site has only been going for just over a week, but we have come quite a long way in a short space of time.

The layout is getting there, although some parts still need tweaking. The articles are starting to flow. And I’m getting a bit more of a handle on this whole running a ‘blog thing. It has surprised me just how much can be done to be honest, and I don’t claim to be pefect so it could take some time, but if you stick with us and give us your feedback and report any little quirks when you encounter them we will get there in the end.

Anyway, time for a quick update. In it’s first week, the site managed 27,580 page views, which is more than I ever imagined to be honest. We are listed on all major search engines now and I am in the process of plugging the place a bit more.

I’ve also submitted an application to Newsnow for us to be featured on their network. It’s probably too early, and they might say no, but it will take some time to hear back from them anyway. If we can get on there though, it will be a big step in making this place accessible to a wider audience.

This is the 32nd article, from three different authors, plus there are two more authors waiting in the wings to get their creative brains in action. Those two shall remain nameless for now and you will have to wait and see to find out who they are.

All in all I’m pretty chuffed with how things have gone so far. As I’ve said, I am new to this so I’m learning as I go, and hopefully I have done ok so far. What I will say is that if you have any suggestions, ideas or feedback then don’t be afraid to let us know either in the shape of a comment in an article somewhere, or through the contact page at the head of the ‘blog. Don’t be shy, let us know.

Moving onto the future, obviously I want this place to be a busy and diverse platform for NUFC fans to get together and laugh, or cry. There is a lot of stuff that I have in the pipeline that will be revealed at a later date, but it’s all very exciting and will hopefully go towards building this place up.

Once again though, it wouldn’t be possible without you guys and gals, and for that I thank you all!

  1. How longs it been going? Nit really read much news seen your article about leaving .org but never seen this address posted, came across it on twitter!!

  2. I avoided posting the address on there as I didn’t want it to feel like I was poaching if you know what I mean?

This place has been going for just over a week now mate 🙂

  3. Aye that’s fair enough like. Liking how the comments group together, nicely.

    You have been bookmarked, sir.

  4. seems a canny site this for only being a week old …im still getting to grips with it ,me being a thick ******* like ,but ill get there

  5. Cheers Wolfie. It’s easy once you get to grips with it. It’s still early days but I’m happy with it.

Hopefully/ if/when we get on Newsnow, it will eliminate the dead spots that come sometimes happen. The only way people really know about this place right now is through word of mouth, which is good, but can only take this place so far. To grow big-time it needs to be on Newsnow.
