This is what we’ve missed all season!

Hatem Ben Arfa.

I think it’s fair to say that with Hatem Ben Arfa in the side we’d have picked up more points throughout the season than what we have done. Take a look at this and you’ll understand why I think that.

That is Hatem Ben Arfa at his brilliant best against Everton earlier on in the campaign, before had his leg bust in two places by Nigel de Jong obviously.

I’m not saying that he would been like this in every game for us as I’m sure he would have had his share of stinkers, but when he is in this form he can win a match on his own. In fact he won this match on his own to be fair.

We’ll have to wait for next season now to see the lad in action, which is a good thing in hindsight. I’d much prefer he came back at 100% with a full pre-season behind him as opposed to trying to rush him a bit and get him back for a token appearance at the end of the season at a risk of aggravating his injury and potentially keeping him out for a much longer period.

I can’t wait!

  1. Dave…aye winning the cup will have giving the sheik the taste for glory, I’d expect a few to leave/be pushed out as he’ll want a few big names in imo, and with the new rules coming in, he’s running out of time 😕

  2. These cheaper foreign buys are all well and good but I’d like to get a couple in with a bit of Prem experience who would be good enough to challenge for a starting place….unfortunately they usually cost top dollar, that’s why I think maybe loan deals with view to buy for the likes of Ireland

  3. So, Smith 60 shifted out, Johnson 60k brought in? Sounds good to me like 😀

  4. Newkie 😆 …..like I say, that’s figures I’ve read in the papers so could be double that…..or half 😉

  5. Richie 😀
To be honest I’d agree that Johnson would be one of their lower paid players, which could easily be around 60k. Lets face it, having just come from the second tier he’d be more excited about joining a prospective top 4 team than needing the money lure like City’s foreign mercenaries, so he may not even be on 60k.I would doubt that he’s on more though, its not like Toure going from Barca to “the other Manchester club.”

Its not that I think we’ll get him, just periphery City players are worth a watch….wouldn’t be surprised if Milner went back to Villa if they sold Young tbh.

  6. Aye…he’s probably on about the same as Xisco, just thinking about that gives me a sick feeling in my stomach

  7. Sitting here with me pop and crisps waiting for the Euro tactical voting to begin………. 😆 😆 😆

  8. @richietoon

Howay fella be realistic. Bellamy is 32 yrs and Johnson in his mid 20’s.

      (Quote)

  9. We’ve already got more points than we got last year at Eurovision!

Tactical voting really pisses me off though!

  10. If we buy Johnson I will take every single thing back ive said about this regime.
    Yous make me laugh!
    Hes an English international !
Stop it please! Yous are embarrassing yourselves!

  11. Bobby…where’ve I said buy Johnson?
Bellamy is unlikely to get another big move and therefore imo is even less unlikely to give up his big contract which is reportedly £20k a week more than Johnson, read the posts properly before commenting, you make me laff 😆

  12. UK fans complaining about tactical voting can’t comment this year after UK’s votes were for Jedward and the other nations with only about 1 point between them.

Blue are shyte, boy band ****. Should have had Porcupine Tree representing but then again, they write music and perform themselves. Who needs that in music these days when you get a bunch of fairies dancing with more “product” in their hair than a sperm bank.

      (Quote)

  13. FJ…..but they stayed in xfactor for god knows how long so mind boggingly they obviously have fans in the UK so therefore its not tactical voting is it 😉

  14. I’d say it is since if you’re voting for “best song”, then those ponces wouldn’t even get a second sneeze.

The fact they had popularity on a karaoke show in the first place doesn’t fill me with confidence either. Anyone remember Joe or Steve who won X Factor? They’re working Pontins already.

  15. Anyway of to my pit as I’m slightly embarassed the craic is about the eurovision song contest 😳 😆 neet lads, nighty night bobby 😉

      (Quote)

  16. FJ I wouldn’t know, I don’t keep tabs on Joe or Steve like you obviously do 😉 😆

  17. If 500 miles was Britain’s entry, it would win and you know it. World famous song in many hollywood movies and TV shows. Haven’t seen Blue rocking the big screen lately, they had split up because their 13 year fan base a decade ago had hit puberty.

batty, I doubt Celtic will win the league. If they do, Lennon will be killed for ruining Mythy Smithy’s farewell tour.

      (Quote)

  18. FJ maybe its the celtic fans have voted for jedward seeing that they are from dublin 😉

      (Quote)

  19. well I hope they do finish Lennon of quick as I think he is the main reason for all the **** atm,
Richie I noticed you were talking about the eurovision ***** 😆

  20. Maybe, but they are more likely to still be having fun with themselves over Andrea Corr and Jennie Falconer on the lottery earlier.

Republic and Scottish girls showing leg for the win.

  21. Did anyone see who the footballers were who were outed on twitter for their super injuctions?

      (Quote)

  22. No, I missed it as everywhere panics and doesn’t publish the names. I am not too bothered though as it is none of my business or my interest really.

Not even sure of the legal ramifications of mentioning them on a blog like this would be nowadays.

      (Quote)

  23. Dunno why I wasted my time watching it, expected Ireland to give us a few more points than they did though.

      (Quote)

  24. Caught the results, politically you’d think they might give us some points but at the end of the day I wouldn’t expect anyone to give us points for Blue. In the same manner, anyone who voted for those twin c*nts….ah well 😀

      (Quote)

  25. I see no point in GB even entering Eurovision. You know from the get go that were never going to win it as politics still reign supreme when it comes to voting. Nobody likes us, we don’t care…..

      (Quote)

  26. Toonsy…I was telling wor lass the nobody likes us bit, then we finished above Spain 😆

  28. I doubt this stuff has seen an apple before Rich 🙂

Nah I had one tin left from last night (Stella cider) and I hate random tins being left in the fridge so rather than throw it I thought I’d drink it. Plus I start work at 5:25am tomorrow so can’t leave it too long to have a drink 😀

    5:25am 😯

When does the window actually open, I’ve read about 3 different dates, one in May, june and July.
I think last year, domestically was after the last game then internationally was a bit later…..I’m confused.com 😕

  31. It’s going to be the most boring day ever mate. I’m going to be passenger as I’m learning the routes now so I guess I’ll be asleep for the bulk of the day 😆

On the plus side though, it’s all coach driving and not local stuff 😀

      (Quote)

  32. signed me out and wouldn’t let me sign back in…still won’t if I tick the “remember me” box

Wiki also says tho, that fifa regs say window cant be longer than 12 weeks, that would be over 14 weeks I think.

If you’re a passenger surely you can keep drinking 😆

  33. @richietoon

Well well well, you were a tad defensive last night weren’t you? Hmmm? 😳

Read the posts properly before commenting you shouted at me. 😯
Where have I said buy Johnson you questioned? 😯

Well you and big Dave had a good discussion about him over many posts. Big Dave clearly was interested in the idea of buying him and you certainly indicated it’s unlikely that we would get him but no harm in enquiring. 🙄

I say; my whole point is the fact you actually think we have an outside chance of buying an England international winger is zero. The fact you wouldnt mind enquiring is good enough for me to accuse you of embarrassing yourself. 😳 😆 😆

      (Quote)

  34. Rich – Aye but knowing my luck I’d be the one that gets randomly breath tested 😕

      (Quote)

  35. Rich – Of course there is a good point to me drinking this early. It means I have a short fuse for Bobby to ignite before I push the ban button on him 😆

Come on come on , it’s the wide awake club where I pull people up about their over ambitious views. 😆

      (Quote)

  37. You mean where you won’t allow anyone to have an opinion unless it matches your own and if it differs you’ll act like a kunt and **** all over their views…..

    Oh aye that one…

      (Quote)

  38. bobby…..shouted? 🙄
My point was if the likes of Villa would enquire(I believe they would) then so should we be…..is there ever any harm in enquiring for any player however slim the chance?
City will push players out in the summer, whether that’s Johnson or not some would be worth enquiring about especially on loan.
England international, yep he is, so is Green, Parker etc, but obviously in your world only top 4 can sign international players.
but the realistic bobby thinks we can sign Bellamy(now you’ll trot out the age thing again and unfinished business thing? ) who’s on a reported £80k a week….as far as embarrasing myself goes, I’m lagging way behind you in those stakes but I’ll try my best to catch up 😉

      (Quote)

  39. @toonsy

Ha. You clearly don’t read my points of view but only read their defensive actions cos they know I’m right.
Why else be so defensive? 😆

You don’t agree with enquiring about Johnsons availability do you? 😈

      (Quote)

  40. bobby nowt wrong with ambition, you have yours with Bellers(I’d take him back by the way) or would you rather tread water?

      (Quote)

  41. Why not? If you don’t ask you don’t get do you?

And as for you being right all the time…… 🙄

    Goodbye 😉

  42. Rich you won’t get a reply. He’s been warned about acting the kunt and pissing all over others opinions, twice, that’s three times now and he’s out of here.

  43. Did I say I had a short fuse today? Oh yeah I did 😳

Can’t wait for the next e mail where another chance is begged for 🙄

  44. Bobby…..isn’t everyone being defensive(you included) when you stick up for your comments/point of view? isn’t that the whole point of a blog?

      (Quote)

  45. Rich – Apparently not. It’s for one person to say he is right all the time.

That is the one single thing that winds me up more than anything – people who claim their OPINION is right 🙄

      (Quote)

  46. bobby’s alright Toonsy, just likes fishing for a little nibble to get a bit of arguing/debate going methinks……just as well you didn’t have 2 cans of cider left 😆

  47. As he just said in one of his blocked comments, “he is here to pull people up on their view”
