Last chance! Enter our competition before it closes!

Your chance to win!
Our competition to win the the Newcastle United 2010/2011 Premier League review DVD will close tonight, so this is one last reminder to get your entries in.

All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning the prize is have a rather wild guess at the topical question of who we will end up getting for our first game of next season. I say it’s topical because the fixtures are out tomorrow which, incidentally, you can chat about on here as they will be up as soon as I can get them!

I’m not interested in whether or not the game is home or away so just the team will do. If you have put home or away (some people have) then don’t worry, I’ll just ignore the home or away bit and count the team. Any entries after midnight tonight will not be counted and entrants must be registered users of this website.

Don’t panic though, it’s easy to register, and free! To make your entry count (and make it easy for us!) you simply need to send an e-mail to [email protected] with your registered username in the subject line and your guess in the main body of the e-mail. That’s it!

If we can’t match your username with one on our database of registered users then you can’t win. There is only one entry allowed per person and in the event that people have entered twice it will be the first answer that counts. In the event of a draw, a tiebreaker question will be asked and the closest to the correct answer will be the winner. We will sort out worldwide postage.

What are you waiting for? Enter now!

  4. Dear oh dear. Sorry but this is just designed for one thing and that is to just get the fans backs up again. I respect his opinions but I dont agree with him on this. It is too early to say whether this is good or bad.

  5. So essentially Wraith says: “we don’t know what goes on behind closed doors but Nolan was definately forced to leave” 😆

  6. Toonsy-cheers mate, its still kinda bulky and plain so no rush on it, take a look at it and just tell me what you think if you want and I’ll make some more alterations, whatever’s cool 😉

  7. On the plus side, hitman’s comment disappearing shows me that the spam filter is working. Its done its job getting rid of the ****. It must have scanned the article, picked out Steve Wraith’s name and matched it up with **** 😆

  8. “It enrages me to see such a disloyal player. It makes me sick to my stomach to see a player take a move for more money letting down everyone in their tracks. I hope Demba does well ‘cos he is a good player but I would much prefer him to do well at West Ham. .”

Seeing a player move for money, crying shame that it only happens to the hammers isn’t it 😆

  10. @16. It is a shame. As you know, most players would much rather play in a lower league on a lower wage.

  11. @MDS-Of course, poor little blighters that footballers are, they have so much love for all the numerous football clubs out there, I guess they just get confused sometimes.

  19. Ba on 50k pw? Hope its not that much, hope the board can negotiate a more performance heavy contract, can’t be dealing with another Dyer 😕 Still, if we can unload some of the deadwood it should be fine.

  20. ….on the topic of Demba Ba, be good to get a tricky little fker to partner him with. I reckon we could probli get Defoe on the cheap, doesn’t seem to be gerin a game for spuds. Would be a good addition I reckon.

  26. This is an extract from the Evening Chronicle in April . What’s happened between then and now?????????

Now Nolan has revealed he intends to do just that within the next fortnight to hand manager Alan Pardew a major boost. The Liverpool-born player, who has two years of his existing deal to run, told the Evening Chronicle: “Negotiations are at an advanced stage. Most things have been agreed and I would think I will sign next week or the week after.”

He added: “The gaffer and the board have been great about it. It’s almost done and dusted. I want the whole thing over and done with because, until I sign, everyone is going to be asking me about it.”

Nolan, who has been linked with a summer move to West Ham, was one of the gang of senior players who united the Newcastle dressing room in the wake of relegation to the Championship two seasons ago.

  27. Have to say my piece here, everyone is going on about nolan being a big loss to the club, well i disagree,he can be easily replaced and it just shows his loyalty and ambition by joing west ham so bye bye nolan, and that other scouse *** head who is constantly moaning on twitter and sky sports wants to climb down from his high horse,it was newcastle who stuck by him when he was bashing people outside mcdonalds, what we want is players who want to play for our great club without moaning about contracts. My fav player last season was tiote and he has said nothing in the press. All i can say is get rid of the dead wood and move our club forward, these french players are looking good,,i have a good feeling about next season,,,,cumon the toon

      (Quote)

  28. well it was all agreed, except for the length of contract.
Clearly Nolan thought he could pull the strings in regard to this.
    Ashley thought otherwise.

Does this mean he was forced out?

    NO, I dont think so.

  29. BB they have fast planes noo m8 take nee notice,i was with i read he was on hols too, belive rags at your peril eh 😀

  30. Fair do’s to Nolan, he has screwed a 5 yr contract out of WHam, but it will cost them £17M over that term 😯
God help them if they dont get promotion next year.
And for the record I dont think they will.

  35. Moreno i agree mate. I sometimes look on there and the average IQ has got to be in single figures. Jesus bad enough for people in Newcastle reading that cr*p in the paper but the online version there for all the world to see. No wonder so many people think we’re deluded
