Joey Barton transfer listed by Newcastle.

Farewell Joey. Best of luck. All the best!
Joey Barton has been transfer listed by Newcastle United in a move that is going to send shockwaves through the fanbase.

Quite how the management of our club have come to the conclusion that getting rid of last seasons Player of the Season is a good idea is beyond me although it does appear that relations between the player and the board have become untenable. However, making him available for free is great business. Not!

I understand that contract discussions had ceased and that Joey Barton was probably sailing close to the wind with his Twitter comments, but I also think it’s utterly the wrong thing for the club to do. Mind you, let’s be honest, the two dipshits upstairs have wanted rid of Barton for ages now and it would appear that they have finally got their wish.

I’m utterly pissed off with this move although I have said that you can’t go around slagging off your employer in public without any comeback. All the same I believe it’s a sledgehammer approach to a problem that could have been sorted out.

Best of luck Joey and thanks for last season. As for the two tossers in power at our club: GET OUT!

More to follow….

  3. F*ckin ‘ell. So much for optimism, eh Stu? This is such an utter joke! It’s just pride from the fat man who couldn’t handle being talked about like that. Even if we replace him with Barnetta our team is gonna look drastically different, and now we’re releasing him on a FREE ffs! The thing is, now he’ll come out and dish all the dirt on the club, which could be bad news for morale. Basically, the team morale is being utterly ransacked by fatty anyway, who apparently couldn’t give a flying toss about what happens to us! I hope to god there aren’t player and/or fan protests, cos it’s really the last thing we need. Anil Ambani, where are you?

  5. the club are now on its knees once again…the board really know how to make a total mess of things! all it would have taken is a little bit of ambition and invesment of 35 million we were promised. there is no defending them anymore. pardews positions is now also untenable, he is a proven liar and a yes man. we are systematically getting rid of ALL our good players, its nothin short of a disgrace. smacks of relegation season

  6. I remember in the relegation season the unbridled hate I felt towards the fat kunt and owl head, since then I’d managed to get it under control and it was just a kind of numb, under-the-surface kind of contempt. Well the hate’s back. 😡 Please PLEASE say there isn’t a players revolt. God this is the last thing we need. Imagine if Pardew resigned? We NEED a good start to the season FFS!

  7. I actually think the club have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to get rid of him….and twitter was it.

    Sick to the stomach

  10. I needed to take a break from it all and it seems like it’s only getting worse the more I look away.
We may be in for a bit of deja vu this season if Joey goes although the prem is much weaker than the last time we went doon.
Ashley has no reason to leave because the toon army keeps buying up tickets.
I really fear for our great club…. 😥

  11. If bobby puts his train fairs up he might be able to buy the club soon

So Toonsy, you’re on this side now.

Its not as bad as you think 😆

  12. pardew has no say has lost his three best players from last season….enrique next….jonas…..colo….who else??????

  13. ….well that’s one way of evening out our lop-sided squad. Fk getting in more defenders or strikers, just lose some midfielders – job done, who needs subs. What a fkin joke, really struggling to get mi heed rund this one.

  14. Is this not the same thing that smith was told that he can leave the club without a fee or has he been released ??

      (Quote)

  15. 0% – Newcastle’s PL win percentage without Joey Barton in the team during 2010-11, compared to 34% when he played. Available.

  16. Big dave- mail on twitter, Jobeys going to be happy when he gets back from holiday…. 🙄 😆

      (Quote)

  17. So fkin p!ssed at all this. I had been sitting this summer, hoping and hoping that just maybe the club would make big strides in the summer. We’ll be extremely lucky to replace Jose Enrique when he gets shifted out

      (Quote)

  18. It was inevitable , his twattering on twitter has forced the fatman into this , although to just give him away for free is drastic . That said they will probably make sure they don’t have to pay him a penny for freeing him and Enrique has now joined in on the twattering as well . In the next few weeks watch Barton , Nolan and Enrique slag the club off and of course it won’t have anything to do with bigger wages at their new clubs , just like Judas they will all say they were forced out . Twats 1 and all . Like upwards of 50k a week is not enough to get by on eh lads .

      (Quote)

  19. to be honest lads Barton was absolutely asking for it, every time he made a statement on twitter I wanted him to just stfu as it was inevitably gonna cause more harm than good. Personally I think the useless pair of kunts couldn’t stand looking like fools as they knew Barton had them by the nuts and was gonna leave for free next year – I think Barton was relying on them not wanting to lose money on him when he was mouthing off, took a gamble, and ultimately it cost him. Well, that’s not right, ultimately it cost US. Even if he’s replaced it simply will not be good enough. This board have got to go, but we are (were) in a position for a fairly decent season this year. I now don’t know what to think! Carroll, Nolan, Enrique and Barton were undoubtedly our best players last season, now they will all be gone. What are we gonna bloody do eh?

      (Quote)

  20. What makes it worse is that we all know he won’t get replaced. Why doesn’t he show some balls and say, right i’ll show you Mr Barton and going out and splashing the cash.
As it stands all it says to the world is what Barton is saying about Ashley and Owl head is correct.

      (Quote)

  21. Axel, I don’t care about that. These b!tches have totally fcked around with our club this summer. The rampant dishonesty, holding all of the incoming transfer money, lying to the manager, misleading incoming players, it’s all bullcrap that they need to be held accountable for! The morale in the squad has just gotten sunk to **** after today

      (Quote)

  22. Moreno – No manager will ever have a say under these lot so it’s unfair to call Pardew for it IMO.

      (Quote)

  23. Reiterate what i said: Is this not the same thing that smith was told that he can leave the club without a fee or has he been released ??

Surely the stance could remain the same and hell just leave at the end of the season to **** the club off or has he been scedaddled…

      (Quote)

  24. CC – Same as Smith. Technically he can stay and run his contract down. Difference is that people will be interested in Barton.

      (Quote)

  25. Htb, you’re absolutely right! They called out on being despicable human beings and then they go and show the world how right he is

      (Quote)

  26. Devon – You sound like you’re a bit pissed off and really quite dissapointed. I on the other hand just feel vindicated by my stance towards the club and feel a hint of predictablility about the entire situation. 😉

      (Quote)

  27. Maybe he’s been listed for bad time keeping, it’s well past 4pm and still nowt 😉

      (Quote)

  28. Its quite possible that JB will have the last laugh.
He can quite easily **** off the fat tw@t and co by simply seeing out his contract for another year. Refuse to go.
Can you imagine ashley’s face. Ha Ha Ha. he’ll bust a blood vessel.

Fecking crazy **** going on at wor club. YET AGAIN. 👿 👿 👿

      (Quote)

  29. All fat man wants is unrest get religated and gain another £40 mill with promotion or 15th £500.000 – £1.5 mill if i was a greedy fat fool who knew nothing abt football id do the same

      (Quote)

  30. Do we really know that the Club will let Smith or anyother player apart from Joey go because the only one that the club have said about was Taylor last year and now Joey

      (Quote)

  31. Just got home from work. I’m totally gutted. Lost for words. I suppose that there may be good in this, in that we could be getting a good replacement or Ashley is forced out!

“All fat man wants is unrest get religated and gain another £40 mill with promotion”

Utter shyte like. He wants to stay in the PL as cheaply as possible.

      (Quote)

  33. Stuart, I don’t think this is a time for snide “I told you so’s” Our club is in real jeopardy right now as there are now zero signs of these two wanting to help the football side of this business that they’re running.

I seriously hope that Pardew doesn’t quit, otherwise we will be completely screwed. He is the best we can have managing us right now

      (Quote)

  34. Newkie… he said he’d stay until his contract ran down or he was given a free transfer 😉

      (Quote)

  35. to be frank Stu nothing surprises me about this board – I’m certainly pissed off, and I’m certainly disappointed. Don’t feel like I’ve learned anything new about Mike and Derek though and to honest it’s not really a surprise. Glad you’re feeling good about the whole thing though, mate, heaven knows we need optimists at the moment!

      (Quote)

  36. i take it that he has been realeased?? or has he just been transfer listed for free in which case he could still run down his contract! anyway what the hell are our new signings gonna make of all this? pardew no longer has any ground to stand on, and the dressing room is all but lost

      (Quote)

  37. ANDREW – I never said I told you so, I just said I feel my stance towards the club is vindicated with every passing day and it has been for the last three years.

      (Quote)

  38. The club’s ability to cause completely unnecessary disasters has become legendary. I put this up there with the Keegan situation as something that should have been handled sensibly behind close doors. I had hope they had learned but clearly they have not.

They had no choice to tranfer list him after his latest outburst- every club would have done the same. But Joey is invaluable to the club on the pitch and sorting out his contract should have been the first order of business for the summer. That’s the major mistake here….

      (Quote)

  39. Going off Pardew`s maths letting Barton go will mean that we need no new players in!

      (Quote)

  40. Andrew, I’m just trying to stay optimistic. As Liam said though, trust Nufc to always amze us, with something we don’t expect!

      (Quote)

  41. Richie-he said that about the free transfer? But surely then he wouldn’t mind being sold? I don’t get that 😯 Just hope he sticks around and put his fingers up at Ashley

      (Quote)

  42. Toonsy maybe now this explains why Joey wasn’t himself playin yesterday ?
I said yesterday that I was getting really worried about the club and the way we were going

      (Quote)

  43. Maybe the emergence of these promising youngsters we have has prompted FMA to cull the squad, thinking we dont need replacements these kids will be good enough.
As far as I can see we need players for the now, and if we are not gonna buy any decent replacements it all adds up to a long hard season ahead 🙁

      (Quote)

  44. After all the positive actions and bringing in 4 players in the first month of the transfer window, we are now 12 days away from the first game of the season with our player of the season told he can go for free and our only good fullback being dicked around by those two, forcing him out as well. Positive noises and excitement to team morale mirroring our squad from 2.5 years ago. This sucks

      (Quote)

  45. Big Dave, in fairness, it is very likely that the club will get a striker in, to replace Carroll. I can now see us sign a right winger, to cover both Routledge and Barton, with Routledge’s 2m helping the transfer fee and Barton’s wages paying for him.
