Newcastle 3-0 Man Utd – Highlights, interviews and full match download links

We have some extended match highlights of the rather superb 3-0 victory over Manchester United last night for you now.

Enjoy it while you can I’ll say. It’s the first time we’ve beaten Manchester United in over a decade and to do it so convincingly and actually deserve the win was a joy to behold. Have another look.

As a little bit of a bonus I’ve tracked down the full 90 minute download of the match. I used to do it for every game but the site they came from went missing for a bit so I stopped looking. It’s back now though so if you want to download the entire match and watch it at your leisure use the links below.

First half
Second half

Just click the big green ‘download’ button that pretty much smack you straight in the face. You’ll have to wait 30 seconds for the download to start but after that it’s just a matter of time and you’ll soon be in possession of what was a very impressive win for us.

Now I realise that there are little bits and bobs of the post-match interviews in the highlights at the start, but below are the full ones. As always we’ll start with the Silver Fox that is Alan Pardew, who had annoyed some fans with his team selection prior to the match.

Meanwhile Sir Alex Ferguson was suitably complimentary about Newcastle. To be honest given the way that his side was outplayed and outmanoeuvred by Alan Pardew’s men.

The win has certainly put a smile back on my face. To a man we were excellent and fully deserved the victory. The sad thing is that this is the last we’ll see of Demba Ba and Cheik Tiote as they jet off to Africa. We now have two home games in which to build on this game and if the players who are left can’t take confidence from it then there is something wrong.

Howay the lads! Blackburn next.

  1. I knew Nobby was going to the match last night so I went round his house and sorted his lass out.
    What a session.

  2. i was reading on the man united official site that ‘man united were doing well until phil jones’ decisive own goal’

    decisive? are the kidding me?

a 3rd goal at 90 minutes is not decisive.

    wankers. 😐

  7. Brilliant performance from the lads. Have to admit our form is impossible to predict. After the loss at Liverpool it just didn’t look good for ManU but Pardew completely turned it around. Ba was brilliant throughout, Tiote broke up their attacks, and Cabaye’s free kick was one of the best of the season. Just an all round incredible effort from the team. To me Raylor looked a lot more comfortable as a right winger, only one bad giveaway I can remember. Santon looked quite comfortable at LB and made some good runs forward. I guess anything is possible now, even a couple of decent signings from the owner! I thought a 1-1 draw was possible but wasn’t expecting that brilliant performance.

  8. Great team performance yesterday, but if you looked good to the goals we scored 2 of them came from personal exploits and one from magic phil jones. But now concerning the team, Santon look really great, ( Cabaye, Colo, Tiote, Ba, Krul as usual excellent). One good remark is even Raylor was not very good in the right wing he was ten times better than Obertan just because he is able to stop a ball and cross or make passes with his 2 feets. So we see that it was a bad decision from Pardew to insist with Obertan. Jonas defends all the game, but again when he have the ball he is very uncomfortable with the ball. Shola good fight but he has 3 or 4 times the chance to be in good position to score but really too slow and not sufficiently responsive.
Concerning Ben Arfa I still think he must absolutely start but starting to understand more the way Pardew think, I’m quite sure he will not start in the next premier league game. Up front will be Best and Shola and Perch will replace Tiote I’m quite sure about that. After if i doesn’t work next game maybe he will have a start but not sure because as he said just he doesn’t fit the pardew requirements that a player needs to have in order to play.

  9. HBA39 surprised to see your comments about Hatem. I think he will definitely have to play a huge roll in the next month or we won’t score much at all. He must be the creative force to get us goals. I would try him just behind Best and Shola so a 4-3-1-2 formation. If not then I can only see us going with Vuckic in behind Best and Shola. I don’t think 1 up front works well for us at all even away. Williamson’s solid play really impressed me yesterday as well. 😉

  10. What will the attack look like with Ba away? I think it is a big question going forward. Surely now is the time to give Ben Arfa his chance. Is he training well I wonder? Shola was very good yesterday but he has so many games where he is invisible. Still not convinced Best can score goals often enough to be effective. He looked poor with his head around goal in many of his starts this season and last season as well. Pardew needs to pull another rabbit out of his hat now.

  11. HBA will definitely be playing the next game imo, partnered by Best. Probably starting as well. Time to prove he’s as good a finisher as people claim.

  12. I hope he will play guys but I’m afraid than if he plays in FA cup and produce a poor performance he will be directly put in the bench again for QPR. I’m a huge and convinced fan of Ben Arfa, but now I’m starting to think that maybe Newcastle is not a club for him or Pardew style doesn’t fit him.
