Reading v Newcastle – Premier League match preview

The Madejski Stadium
Newcastle head to the Madejski Stadium to take on Reading in our first regulation, Saturday, 3pm, kick-off of the season to date.

It feels odd saying that as we head into October, but then I guess that is the price paid for playing in the Europa League.

Anyway, it’s a meeting of old boys in Royal Berkshire for this one as Alan Pardew gets the chance to go toe-to-toe with his protégé from his time at Reading, Brian McDermott. It was Pardew who hired the 51-year-old after a chance meeting at Brentford. Unemployed but clearly impressing Pardew, McDermott was offered a job as chief scout AND U17s coach. A demanding role which McDermott took with both hands.

Fast forward some 12 years and McDermott is now manager of Reading having worked his way up from pretty much nothing, and he says he will always be grateful to the current Newcastle manager for giving him a chance when nobody else would. Indeed McDermott believes that Reading wouldn’t be where they are now without Pardew and still feels that it was his foundations that have built the club to what they are now.

“We’re playing a manager, Alan Pardew, who’s a good friend of mine, and I believe he set the identity for this club, over a period of time from the late 90s. The tempo of the team, pass the ball, get crosses into the box. Our work rate is second to none and I think he set that trend here at the club,” said McDermott.

He added: “I hope he gets a good reception. I remember the fact he brought me to the club in the first place so obviously I’ve got a lot to be grateful for. He was very good for me personally and very good for Reading. He’s had a number of clubs since and he’s been very successful.”

Newcastle:

After an early season injury crisis things seem to be looking up with regard to player fitness. Cheik Tiote came through the League Cup game at Manchester United unscathed giving him a second appearance of the week and is likely to be in the starting eleven tomorrow afternoon. Fabricio Coloccini also completed an hour against the Red Devils and assuming there was no tenderness (none has been reported) then I would say it’s safe to assume he will resume his regular starting role in the heart of defence.

There is better news regarding Danny Simpson and Tim Krul also, both of whom are back in training at least although unlikely to feature against the Royals. The Bordeaux match next Thursday may be a reasonable guess for them to get some match practice under their belt.

Ryan Taylor is now our only long term absentee as he continues to recover from ligament damage.

Reading:

Adam Federici may or may not be available for selection. The goalkeeper was said to be suffering with a knee injury however Brian McDermott has since confirmed that he was dropped due to poor form, although there does seem to be an issue with his knee that needs addressing.

Confusing if you ask me.

Jason Roberts is out with a calf injury although Jimmy Kebe is once again available for selection after returning in their mid-week League Cup tie at QPR.

Team selection:

Alan Pardew is likely to revert to a stronger side than the one we seen in midweek against Manchester United. Demba Ba, Hatem Ben Arfa, Jonas Gutierrez, Yohan Cabaye, Davide Santon, Steven Taylor and Steve Harper all failed to feature at Old Trafford and are likely to be recalled to the side tomorrow.

Reading usually play a 4-4-2 formation so I’m wondering whether it will be worth matching up to them. In midfield we are likely to face former Magpie Danny Guthrie who is likely to be paired with Mikele Leigertwood. If Yohan Cabaye and Cheik Tiote play together in midfield for us I fancy us to win that particular duel.

Our defence will need to be on top of their game against Adam Le Fondre and Pavel Pogrebnyak. Both are mobile strikers so our central defensive pairing will need to be alert to their runs.

Previously…

Newcastle played Reading last when we were in a very dark place in our recent history. Having been freshly relegated to the Championship it was Reading who were the team to first visit St James’ Park. I was there that day and I can proudly say that I witnessed a Shola Ameobi hat-trick as the hosts ran out 3-0 winners.

In that same season the return leg at the Madejski Stadium saw us complete a league double over the the Royals. Kevin Nolan scored two before a late own goal from Danny Simpson ensured a nervy final twenty minutes for the visitors but ultimately, as we’ve become accustomed to, we saw the game out.

In terms of Premier League meetings between the two sides at Reading it doesn’t make for good reading. We’ve played there twice and lost there twice – a 1-0 defeat in the 2006/2007 season followed up by a 2-1 defeat in the 2007/2008 season.

Overall there have been just four top flight meetings between the two sides. As mentioned, Reading have won the two at their ground with us beating them on both occasions at St James’ Park.

Final thought:

Newcastle are favourites for this game which is a dangerous position to be in and one that I personally don’t like. The perception seems to be that Reading will be a pushover but don’t let their current status of being rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table fool you.

We’ve been here before, several times, under numerous managers and not one of them have managed to take any Premier League points from the Madejski. Reading, buoyed by Brian McDermott wanting to prove a point to his old boss, will be up for this and will be wanting to get their season on track as they fight to stay in the league.

I’ve always had this thing about Newcastle and complacency, not just with the players, but from some of our own fans also. Just because the are “only” Reading it doesn’t change the fact that we have to get the job done on the day.

Three points could potentially take us to fourth in the table depending on other results, and although league position can’t have too much notice taken of it at this stage of the season it will at least give us all a boost. Remember, if it happens, we’ll have done it with injuries to key players and whilst not playing fantastically well, and that’s a good thing!

Howay the lads!

  1. Repost from last article
    Axel (with regard to fullbacks)
With Debuchy saga I never felt it was about us lacking players in that position, it was that we lacked quality in that position, had we sold Simpson in the window for 3/4m then I’m sure we would’ve secured Debuchy.
We no longer believe we’re desperate for a striker as Ba has hit form again and we know he won’t be played LW anymore. Add that to Campbell’s rise to the fringe of the 1st team and Shola being on standby we’re more at ease upfront.
CB obviously needs improvement and additions, it could be that Carr will find a bargain gem in which case great, this could take some time though and as that happens Good and Streete will mature and will hopefully have had some senior appearances. P.S I hope by that time Willo is long gone, a lost cause is that man.

  2. Was thinking the other day that we hadn’t had a saturday 3pm KO yet, we haven’t had the priveledge of hearing Phil Thompson go on about how we boring to watch and that Liverpool is probably better.

  3. agree with toonsy (for a change 😀 ) i think reading will be right up for this game, nice to get a 3pm sat kick off for a change

  4. Their fans will create a hostile atmosphere with Pardew once walking out on them , still i fancy us to win . With the return too form of Ba and an improving Cisse i see us scoring goals . Tiote and Cabaye will boss the midfield and HBA and hopefully Ferguson on the left will give their defence the run around . i can see us 3or 4 nil winners .

  5. To continue with the spending argument exactly what were we willing to pay for Debuchy and Douglas? If it was 6M euros for Debuchy and 2-3M euros for Douglas I would say that is ridiculous. And to say it was beyond our means is also ridiculous. We will definitely be in the black this year and next season should be a banner earnings year. If we fall 2 or 3 places in the league we will earn several million pounds less. How then does it make sense to penny pinch when trying to bring in quality players? This has turned into a joke with Llambias as the clown prince. I just don’t believe a word he says. There just isn’t any football ambition being shown by Ashley. He will be happy earning 10M pounds in profit this season even if we finish 7th or 8th. I suspect he sees us floating up and down between 6th and 9th over the next few season while he hauls in the cash. If he turns a 50-100 M pound profit over the next 5 years and we never win anything and never finish higher than last season in the Prem is he a brilliant owner for the club? I would argue not.

  6. Well ,I’m lucky enough to be attending the game ,thanks to my Bro getting Comp tickets from the Heineken rep at his social club 😀 .I’m a little nervous as Reading put 3 passed QPR on wednesday so they certainly ain’t goal shy ,let’s hope we’re not either 😉 . I do believe we have the better players but we can’t afford anymore of these slow first half starts we’ll really get punished for it in a minute. These are the games we need to capitalise on points wise if we are to challenge a top 6 spot again. Anyway I really hope for a good show from the lads tommorow ,HWTL. 😀

  7. Kimtoon keep away from those Heineken tasting sessions before the match or you might live to regret it… 😉

    p.s. Howay the lads…

  8. G TWO, it`s well documented Ashley has pumped in £280 mill, Debuchy and Douglas will be signed in Jan. at the right price just like Cisse was.
Much rather have a club with a solid financial base and a long term strategic plan for longevity, yes it will take time but signs are good that in next 2–3 years we will be challenging regularly for top 4 spot, especially when FFP rules start kicking in earnest.
    Keep the faith!!

  9. MM> Won’t be drinking sadly as a fair bit of driving to do after the game 🙁 also got to keep a clear head whilst the lad is in my charge. The free grub will be welcome though 😀 😉 .

  10. Bloody typical – write war and peace on the last article and you lot ****** off! 🙄 🙁

I think tomorrow will be a difficult game with Reading getting that win against QPR mid week.
Disappointing that Colo and Cabaye are missing.
I’d personally like to see Tiote and Perch in the middle if Cabaye is out, with Jonas to the left of them and allow Benny a free role.
We need to get the ball to Ba and Cisse quick and let them do their thing.

2-1 the toon for me like.

P.S – Kim – have a great day and hope Liam stays well for you – toon mascot 😉

  11. It sounds promising when you put it that way CT @9 but I just don’t believe it. We won’t get into the top 4 with our current owner. Pardew has already hinted at that several times as did Keegan who just came out and told the truth (how refreshing). Now that Pardew has an 8 year contract he has lost any leverage with Ashley he ever had (which was very little). He is another yes man like Llambias now although at least he understands football and has a long history in it which Llambias does not. I think we will put out decent teams over the next few years but never good enough to win anything unfortunately. When Pardew said we should try to win a domestic cup he saw the truth of it. It is our only chance of silverware and it is a slim chance with this owner. Anyway it is better than being deep in debt and in danger of going under of course but I would certainly have loved to have seen us win something in my lifetime. Not holding my breath and it could be a disappointing 8 years ahead as far as silverware is concerned sadly.

  12. As cabaye is out of tomorrows game who do we think will take his place? Don’t think bigi or Perch as we need a creative player in the centre for the game so I reckon amafilitano might get a shout, either that or gosling plays but he’s **** so I’d rather romain was given the game time.

      (Quote)

  13. That’s a tough call Andymag. I think Pardew might resort to Tiote, Jonas, Perch, and Bigi in a 4 man midfield and Ben Arfa and Ba up front unless we are brave enough to try a 4-3-1-2 or 4-3-3 and play both Ba and Cisse with Ben Arfa either beside or in behind. Possibly Amalfitano in the second half. Gosling wasn’t terrible in the ManU game except in front of goal so you never know he might get some time as well. I’m hoping for a 1-2 away win with both Ba and Cisse scoring (unheard of I know!), 😀

      (Quote)

  14. I think Collo re-injured his hamstring Big Dave. They brought him back too soon. And Cabaye has an infected gum and is being pumped full of antibiotics. We have stretched our paper thin defense too far already this season. Of course we couldn’t afford a CB because it would have destroyed the club financially apparently. Amazing how close to disaster we are that we can’t put a few million pounds out in the summer and get outspent by Norwich among many others!

      (Quote)

  15. G TWO, we just need 3xthings to get that elusive prize.
    1) An attacking right full back ( Debuchy)
    2) A commanding centre half (Douglas)
    3) a bit of luck for a change in the cup drawers ( only 6xgames to win the FA Cup)
With the crop of youngsters we have coming through and keeping our key players I am more optomistic than for years.

    —————-Krul
    Debuchy—Douglas–Collo—-Santone
    —————-Tiote
    -Benny——Cabaye—–Jonas
    ———Demba Ba–Cisse

Back Up: Saylor, Simpson, Bigi, Anita, Vukic, Amallfitano, Fergie, 2x Ameobies, Cambell etc.

That“s not too shabby, is it??

      (Quote)

  16. That is the team I was thinking we would start the season with CT @17 but as we are financially on the edge we can’t put out as much money as Norwich can. I hope you are right of course but there is no evidence that will happen. The clubs who have Debuchy and Douglas won’t reduce their asking prices and we won’t pay above some imaginery “reasonable price” made up by Llambias who really lives in some alternate reality where we always get a deal from other clubs because we are such a deserving club. If I see that smirk on his face at one more game I think I’ll throw up. As you can see he isn’t my favourite football executive by some distance! 😀

      (Quote)

  17. G. TWO, I understand how you feel but we have been patient this long, so let`s hope a little longer will pay off at last.
Lille were pissed that we got Cabaye for a song but they agreed the get out clause in his contract, but I like the idea we have our main targets and won`t sign second best just to get extra bodies in. Too many times we`ve done that and wasted money.
Keep the faith son, it will come!!
    HWTL.

  18. Forgot the possibility of playing Ferguson on the left as well Andymag. That was a brilliant cross to Cisse. So good to see someone who can actually cross a ball after watching Obertan make a hash of so many efforts. I was so hopeful that Obertan would give us a real threat on the RW but that optimism has died away now. It is clear he panics after beating a man and then just gives the ball away time and time again. Would rather see Bigi or Ferguson or Vuckic if he is fit than Obertan. We must develop a couple of the youngsters or send them out on loan. Reserve football isn’t enough for some of these lads.

      (Quote)

  19. Thanks for the thoughts CT. I will try to be more optimistic but it has to be based on real facts to me. 1969 is too far back by far but it doesn’t mean I will ever stop supporting the club. I can tell you are the same. All the best mate!

      (Quote)

  20. CT it’s all good having your main targets but what’s the point if you wont pay the going rate for them ❓ so do we just set around waiting to get a bargain or is bargain buys and damaged items are main targets 😀

      (Quote)

  21. Andymag, that will make us fairly defensive but perhaps the best bet I can see. Maybe a formation such as
    Harper/Elliot
    Anita Saylor Willo Santon
    Ben Arfa Tiote Jonas Fergie
    Cisse Ba
to start. I don’t like to use Ben Arfa on RW but much better than having Obertan out there. If Fergie struggles bring in Perch and shift Jonas to LW.

      (Quote)

  22. DAVE @14 i never joke when it comes to the team, anyway dont need to joke when oba is in the team he couldnt even cross the bloody road never mind the ball 🙁

      (Quote)

    How about
    ————————Harper/Eliott—————————–
    —-Anita———Taylor——–Williamson——Santon—
    -Gutierrez—————-Tiote——————–Ferguson-
    —————————Ben Arfa——————————-
    ——————–Cisse————Ba————————–

      (Quote)

  24. Andymag that’s actually what I would like to see us try but I think Pardew will be more conservative away from home. Have we actually tried this formation in any game yet because it looks so obvious with the players we have. It mainly depends on whether we can control the midfield with 3 players or if Ben Arfa can track back and be useful recovering the ball, but going forward it looks brilliant.

      (Quote)

  25. Ice can’t believe a sore mouth is keeping him outta the game 😯 As for Oba well i’m not really surprised even after last season when there was plenty on here saying he was a confidence player and once he got a few games he would be up and running 😀 well running is all he seems to be good at because he can’t cross and he is yellow when it comes to tackling, and to think that Benny got so much media coverage about having to work on his tracking back and helping out the team 😕 🙄

      (Quote)

  26. It’s surprising to me as well Big Dave. It must be very bad to keep Cabaye out surely? As for Obertan he looks to be getting very frustrated but it’s his own fault. Sir Alex doesn’t give players away for 2 M if they are any good but we are bargain bin shoppers after all. I wonder what Carr thought of him? My guess is he was outvoted because of how cheap Obertan was and Llambias and the board saw it as a way to keep the price down.

      (Quote)

  27. I can’t imagine a sore mouth keeping Shearer out of the lineup or many other of our great players. A sore mouth would probably just put Shearer in a foul mood which would be bad news for the opponent and a couple of goals for Shearer.

      (Quote)

  28. Bargain bin shoppers…How many transfers have been poor Geordietwo? Cabaye, Cisse, Ba, Tiote, Benny. I assume you count them among the bargain bin buys too then? 😉

We’re probably favourites tomorrow and a win would be lovely, given that we’ll need to win half our matches if we want to equal-ish what we got last year, this has to be one where we go for it. Assuming those on form-Benny and Ba-and those hopefully returning to fitness/form-Tiote and Cisse-play well then we should have the quality to see this through.

That being said, Reading have some good players and nobody will know Pardew better than McDermott so he may have a few tricks up his sleeve…

      (Quote)

  29. Aye icedog in fact Shearer probably too often played when he shouldn’t have but now we are seeing the other extreme. Surely this must be worse than it sounds. I’ve worked a regular day and overtime with an infected gum and been fine. It sounds ridiculous on the face of it. Is Cabaye having us on? He’s starting to sound a bit like Owen but I dread the thought. Surely not. Have to give him the benefit of the doubt this time but would love to see him back in form beside Tiote as with last season.

      (Quote)

  30. Of course we have made some tremendous buys Newkie, I’m not doubting that for a second. But there have been some cockups we have to acknowledge as well. The five year deals for Xisco and Ranger come to mind as well as the Obertan buy. I can’t believe Carr would have sanctioned any of those and he wasn’t around for the Xisco debacle I know. Willo isn’t good enough and I’m not using him as a scapegoat but the only reason he is in the lineup so often is we have no quality depth. Campbell was a disaster as well but I think that was Hughton’s idea. We have pulled off some tremendous deals but when is Llambias going to realize there will be no more giveaways like Cabaye and Tiote? 😉

      (Quote)

  31. G2 on another note i think the coaching has improved some players, perch for one also i thought pardew made a big mistake in signing elliot i had seen him play a few times and thought he was very poor but the last couple of games i can see a marked improvement in him,but no hope for oba or willo imo 😐

      (Quote)

  32. Spot on icedog. Perch has been a complete revelation to me. His passing out of defense has been superb and he effectively kills many attacks. Elliot is looking much better as well and in fact has made some brilliant saves for us. Yes Pardew and his team have done some tremendous work. I have no real issues with them. It’s Llambias and Ashley that I continue to have doubts about.

      (Quote)

  33. @23. “Bargain buys” and “damaged items” like cabaye, tiote, ba, cisse, santon, ben arfa, etc? If so, more of the same please

      (Quote)

  34. Yeah I agree that Perch has came on well but I see him as a back up utility player that is better suited to DMF, but I will ask this how many prem teams do you think would buy him as a 1st 11 ??

      (Quote)

  35. I don’t remember a single tear being shed when we sold Routledge…should we have sold him and not replaced him? What would the “small squad” brigade make of that? 😆 We signed someone with potential, but it just aint working out, was worth the gamble though.

As for Ranger, nobody can doubt his quality, in the CC at 19 he looked the far better all round player than Carroll-and he was. If he’d fulfilled it he would have been worth a bundle and the 5 year deal would have kept him on lowish wages for a fair while. Unfortunately he’s a ****, and sometimes that can;t be helped. Considering he was FREE as opposed to 8/9mil like Boumsong…who was also on 5 years 😆 🙄

      (Quote)

  36. MDS do you really think we are going to get anymore bargain buys like Cabaye, Tiote or Damaged like Benny, Santon or Ba as for Cisse I wouldn’t really class him as a bargain I would class him as going rate, but I think you know that already, as for the etc who are the etc players then ????

      (Quote)

  37. Still think we can build a better squad and stay financially sound. There is a thin line between being astute in player buys and just plain ridiculous. If we can’t spend 7 or 8 M pounds on players who will greatly improve the squad then we have no chance of finishing in the top 4. I realize Cisse cost 9 or 9.5 M pounds depending on who you believe but we got Ba for nothing other than wages and fees so the average of the two players is 4.5 M pounds for 2 tremendous players and that is not going to happen again. Similarly with Tiote and Cabaye who cost us 7 M or 7.5M pounds for the pair. That is not going to happen again either. Now we will have to pay the going rate or risk slowly sliding down the table to 7th or 8th or even lower if we sell anyone of note.

      (Quote)

  38. G2 well ime afraid it looks like we are stuck with owlheed and jabba the cookie monster, after all he saved us from god knows what 😀 i just think when we where is such a canny run they could have pushed the boat out a little they have left pardew with a hell of job trying to push the team on.
DAVE kna perch wouldnt get into the first 11 of 99%of pl teams but its a case of pardew making “do”with what he has

      (Quote)

  39. The big question for me is what are Ashley and Llambias going to do if they can’t get the players they want for the price they are willing to pay? We have made a tremendous number of lowball bids including Neil Taylor, Debuchy, Douglas, and several other French players of note. What happens if we can’t find any more good players for bargain bin prices or is Llambias so brilliant he can talk teams out of their best players for low bids? I will wait and see.

      (Quote)

  40. GEORDIETWO to me the biggest problem is that Pards has came out and said that a few of our top players had their heads turned a bit this window, and that was after we finished 5th so what will it be like if after failing to show ambition in the transfer window and if we fail to make the Euro spots this season, im sure the top players heads will be easier turned.
But if you listen to some everything will be rosey and sure as long as we are well off financially 😯

      (Quote)

  41. Ice I don’t really care what anyone says in life you generally get what you pay for, and yeah sometimes you can get a bargain but they’re the exception to the rule, and as I see it up to now Cisse is the exception in that he is the only player over the last few yrs that we have paid IMO going rate money.

      (Quote)

  42. Big Dave-Geordietwo saw fit to start picking out our poor transfers which i’m sure 99% of fans accept are the minority nowadays. Better than they’ve ever been in fact. I’m trying to compare the ***** ones nowadays to ones in the old days.

Which is hard because there’s no comparison.

    😆

      (Quote)

  43. Dave-Do you honestly think Cisse at 9/10mil pounds is the going rate for a striker who scored the most in the third best league in the world? In a team that struggled for promotion 😯

      (Quote)

  44. Newkie @ 48 right because I couldn’t work out what he had to do with owt 😀 @ 49 I think it was a good price yeah why what do you think he was worth ?

      (Quote)

  45. Dave-But by good price surely we got him for cheaper than “the going rate” if you get what I mean? I know nobody knew he’d score the kind of goals he has done nor do as well as he has, but imo his market price would have been about 17mil. I mean, Fletcher cost 11 mil right? I’d say he was “market price” as nowadays its kinda mad in regards to strikers.

      (Quote)

  46. Newkie IMO Cisse wasn’t far off going rate, I don’t think he was worth £17mil he has no experience in the prem so he was a risk, so I would have said around £10mil. Fletcher is a british homegrown player who was allready an experienced prem player which always have an inflated price so I don’t think he’s worth that kind of money and I really don’t think you can gauge the 2

      (Quote)

  47. @24. So half our top players squad were “bargain buys” and “dmaged items” but we shouldn’t try for those signings anymore?

Cisse was a bargain buy because we got a better deal in January than we would have goten the previous summer when we were in for him. Or was that just another lie from the club?

(Perch , Willo, and Simpson would be the “etcs” by the way btw).

      (Quote)

  48. We got Cisse for about £10 million he was priced at £15 million the previous summer. I think we got him below “the going rate”

      (Quote)

  49. Well, Dzeko went for 30mil+ having scored more than Cisse but in one of the best teams in the league, so I don’t think 17 mil is far off. You could say “oh yeah well City would pay anything” but regardless, it has an effect on transfers the world over. He was definitely worth more than 10mil. The whole “PL” experience is just British sky bias really, some players need time to settle, some don’t. Given how similar the Bundesliga is already, it is highly likely a player will find similar form in a new team, imo.

      (Quote)

  50. Also-Is anyone/has anyone watched “being liverpool fc” it’s on Channel 5 now. Fucking hilarious in hindsight

      (Quote)

  51. 3hrs I seen his value on that website that people go on that give their value of a player and he was down as £10mil but that doesn’t prove owt. but do you know for sure that Freiburg were wanting £15 mil for him or was that just the rags making the price up the same way Lee Ryder made the prices up over Debuchy ❓

      (Quote)

  52. Newkie @ 57 you already knew what the answer to that would be as you said it yourself so because City paid £30 mil for Dzeko that means that Cisse was worth 17 😀 thats like saying because Carroll was sold for £35mil that Fletcher should have been £20mil 😆
As for the prem experience thing I don’t care what sky or anyone else says if you have proven prem ex there is less risk, I could point to good strikers from different countries that have then came to the prem and just never cut it

      (Quote)

  53. Dave-I’m not saying “because this, because that = transfer amount” I’m merely highlighting that Cisse was scoring for a ***** team, Dzeko for a good one yet Dzeko was priced x3.

If you believe he was only worth 9/10 mil as that was his market price fair enough, maybe you should give credit to Ashley because his asset is now worth far more?

    😆

Dave-point out a striker that fails, and i’ll point to a striker that hits it off. Andy Carroll had his Prem experience, went to liverpool and…oh, yeah, that’s right, did **** all 😆

Indeed on the flip side I can point to a fair few English strikers who never hit it off, even after a transfer to another english side 😉

  54. Andy @26, I like that line up ,think that would work well . On Cabayes sore tooth ,if he has an infected root canal or abcess that’s agony and the main problem is if you run or exert yourself the throbing gets unbarable ,it’s the same when you take a hot bath . That said after two days of anti biotics combined with pain killers he should be o.k but in truth only a clean out and dressing of the root canal will rectify it. 😉 . Now if you wanna talk real pain ,try an infected dry socket after extraction 👿 stuff of nightmares that like. 😉

I think so too, Jonas and ferguson can both bomb forward and defend the full-back positions so would work well, Benny gets the freedom of the centre of the park, Tiote holds CM with help ocasionally from jonas, Ba and Cisse both get to play upfront. Workd in every way, doubt Pards will do it though, isn’t quite the master tactician that I am  😎 .
Maybe I should do some articles before each match, saying the team I think we should play and the formation/tactics that should be used, analysing the oppenents weaknesses and strengths, asking others opinions in the matter.
Unfortunately I’ll be at the Dundee Uni open day tomorrow afternoon so could miss the start of the match or the whole thing if we decide to have lunch there 🙁 .

  57. Nice one Kim, went to see them a few weeks ago when we had visitors/relatives from oz(now live in liverpool 😡 ) , one of them actually got up and ate an apple 😎 .
My Uni choices at the moment are Dundee, Stirling or Aberdeen. After looking through its prospectus I’m leaning towards Aberdeen as I think it’d be awesome, though I’ve yet to go on its open day. I’d have to do extremely well this year to get into Aberdeen and to an extent Dundee, I need a few more Bs for Stirling.

Scotland is dark and gloomy 😉 Aberdeen is NE Scotland so feels the elements more than other cities, but is a very nice place and is a very prestigious Uni.
Looked like an apple, think bamboo is their main diet but it is hard to come by so they eat fruit too. I wrote my English discursive essay on these pandas last year do I thought I should actually see them. Female is only in heat for 48 hours a year and a males erection only lasts 30 seconds so they’re really **** as a species. The Chinese government started giving the males Viagra at one point and suddenly loads of panda cubs popped up over the place.

  61. Axel I can’t believe they gave them viagra ,they must of been a bit distrubed by the fact it wouldn’t go down as quick as previously 😕 😆
