What have we become?

Losing influence?
Losing influence?
If you are a fan of Alan Pardew then look away now. This is not backed up by stats, it’s purely my opinion based on what I have observed with my own eyes – so if you don’t like it, that’s your bag. But you’re wrong! Haha.

Every single member of our squad is absolutely clueless in the final third. They don’t know what to do with themselves when they find the ball at their feet with a chance of shooting or putting in that final pass! It was painful watching us against West Ham. The only time we genuinely threatened them was when Sammy Ameobi fluked a cross onto the opposition post and even then Gouffran bricked himself.

I used to think Obertan was a headless chicken, but maybe Pardew just got to him faster than he got to everyone else?!

OK we have not been helped by a lack of spending, but would it matter if we did sign more players? It’s obvious to every man and his dog that Pardew has no idea how to set these players up in a style that suits their natural game.

It’s like he has intentionally gone out to find square pegs (the players – Cabaye, Sissoko etc) and tried to force them into round holes (his own rigid style of play). We are screwed. I’m not saying it’s all down to him. Our players have to take some of the blame for a complete failure to show any pride in their own performances, but I see no intention by Pards to allow certain players to approach the game according to their own positive attributes.

I have quickly realised recently that our signings have been cheap because THAT IS WHAT THEY ARE WORTH. Yes we have one or two players capable of the odd bit of magic, so so do most teams in the Premier League. The truth is, we have a squad full of average players being managed by yet another English head coach who’s head is stuck in the early 90’s.

We don’t have one out and out winger capable of consistently crossing the ball, we only have one decent striker and our back line is not convincing. For all the positives that come with Santon – he is a full back that appears incapable of putting a string of strong defensive displays together! Why is he so special exactly? Debuchy? I know he needs bedding in time, but right now Simpson is the better player for me. Steven Taylor is still prone to the odd complete implosion.

Take a look at central midfield, where we are ‘well stocked’. With what exactly? Our only holding midfielder Tiote lost the plot about 18 months ago and not managed to find form since. Cabaye is clearly on his way out. Anita is a steady player, but does not pull up trees going forward or back – leaving who? Gosling? Sicknote that never lived up to the hype. Bigi? Sissoko is a proper midfielder, but seems stunted by our game plan. A lot of potential, but we all now what Pardew and company do to prospects!

The only player capable of turning a game on it’s head is Benny – and he is constantly stunted by being played out of position, or surrounded by players that have NO CLUE how to express themselves or put pressure on the opposition. My point is our midfield is well stocked with ok, steady players. But Benny aside not one of them is actually top notch at anything specific such as tacking, scoring, crossing or even passing. You know, the basics…..

I am struggling to remember a more boring Newcastle United team. We lack imagination, drive, zeal, heart. I cant even accuse the lads of playing ‘Wimbledon’ style football. At least they had a purpose, a unity and a plan. We just clear the lines then dither a bit before giving the aback. It’s embarrassing to think that these are the same colours being worn as the ‘entertainers’ era. What a disgrace.

If we played to our guys’ strengths and just went for it – what would we have to lose? We might lose the odd game? We do anyway. All the time! If we are ever going to compete with the likes of Spurs on the world market again, we need to focus on a brand. People still remember the ‘entertainers’ all over the world. We can still get that back. We just need a coach to bring a similar kind of football back and some clever PR to draw the fans in. Yes it’s a bit risky, but why not give ourselves an identity that the neutrals want to be a part of, regardless of the results? I really don’t see how it can go any worse than our current course is taking us. Hell it might even pay of Ashley’s loan a bit quicker if it takes off!

I’m not convinced this squad is a genuine topeight side even with a top notch manager at the helm, but I am sure as hell that what quality our players do have is not being utilised by our current coaching staff. Look at all the ‘quality’ youth players we have ahem…nurtured…over the past three seasons. Thank God at least that’s successful because with these players taking off we don’t need to spend money on new recruits. Oh wait… Hmm yeah that’s right the FOOL and his back room staff have screwed every prospect they have touched too. Round of applause everybody! Another fine job!

It’s about time we put in a manager that knows what he’s doing and gave him some bloody money to spend – unless of course Mike is happy having us flirt with relegation every year… A dangerous game but it would not surprise me in the least! Yes he was saddled with unforeseen debt when he took this place on, but that’s his mistake for not doing his homework properly – it’s a bit harsh to make the fans pay for his mistake year after bloody year.

I see Joe Kinnear had the cheek to point out Pardew has signed 16 players and spent £60m in the last 2/3 years. He forgot to mention the outgoings. In the last five years we are UP almost £20 million in transfer fees alone.

I appreciate the whole Financial Fair Play framework, but one minute we are told we re making signings – the next we are being told we have to sell to buy. Which is it?! Why bring in Joe Kinnear if we had no intention of spending money this summer? Baffling. We need to make two changes, because Mike Ashley is going nowhere. 1) – Get a proper commercial director in and increase our global brand and 2) – Drop Pardew and his backroom staff and bring in a modern thinking team that can get our players expressing themselves whilst delivering a brand of football we can all be proud of again, regardless of results.

The end.

  1. Some of us have been banging this drum, since this time last season.
We achieved 5th before he had time to screw things up completely.
    Now it is too late.
For me it is just a question of when, not if. We are so ***** right now, even Ashley wont be able to stomach much more.
We will be rock bottom of the league, long before xmas.
The sell to buy policy works when the team is doing well and playing attractive football.
Nobody in our team looks anything other than ordinary, thanks to Pardoom.
Ashley reaps what he sows. But it’s the fans who suffer.
I’ve given up with the whole sad sack of **** that we have become.
Certainly not regretting giving up my season tkt.
Relegation is a certainty this season IMHO.
    👿 😥

  2. Sadly, I’m ashamed to say, that I want us to keep losing, if only to hasten the process.
The famous win over the mighty shrimpers, put a spanner in the works, but should be back on track after a heavy home defeat to the Fulham on Saturday.
    Howay the Lads. 😳 😳 😳

  3. G2 I think if Ashley spent 200 million we would be slight title contenders mate but until that day we have no choice but to accept mediocre football. Manchester City and Chelsea would have gone down hill mate with out there billionaires. Roll on the punches tomorrow’s another day. Newcastle will always be Newcastle

  4. the picture of pardoom at the top says it all.
totally bereft of ideas. Utterly clueless.
Dead man walking if ever there was one.
tik tik tik tik tik tik tik……………..

  5. we don’t need to be spending £200M, just employ a manager/coach who can get the absolute best out of the players he has.

  6. I love this club and when finally win something it will mean so much more. Something a glory supporter will never understand

      (Quote)

  7. BB I would love a better coach than Pardew and staff mate but we have no choice. Ashley won’t spend big bucks and the rest will. We have no choice but to hope for a different owner but that could take years.

      (Quote)

  8. In my opinion, first thing Pardew must change is the time Krul use to hoof it all the time, instead of trying a short pass with his hand to a winger or a full back.
Am I the only one who becomes crazy with Krul about that. All the time he takes a ball, ask every player to go up and after a long ball and any of our player can challenge for it and we loose it.
What the ****, try to play quickly from behind, use a litte bit counter attack.
I dont know if Pardew asks him to do that but since 2 years now, he does it all the time.

And if that change, we can after start with Central midfielder who tries passes like pirlo, but they don’t have the quality to do it and we don’t have the striker and we all the time loose the ball. So tell the team don’t be afraid to play short passes.

  9. It’s sad football is more about money than a sport these days. Every team should have the same amount on transfers, wages etc.

      (Quote)

  10. hba39 – Regarding Krul, I think that is more to do with trying to relieve the constant pressure of defending in our own half all the time.
He doesn’t have the confidence in his defenders/midfield to carry the ball forwards beyond the halfway line. We lose possession too easily and end up straight on the defensive, time and again.
By hoofing it long, he at least gets a few seconds breather, before it comes back again.

      (Quote)

  11. stem it always has been and always will be.
But that’s not the issue here.
Don’t expect us to be winning the title, but we should be capable of giving top teams a run for their money. Make them play out of their skins to beat us etc.
Not the ***** ***** football we are getting served up right now.
    Beaten before kickoff most matches.
    Utter shambles.

      (Quote)

  12. BB I agree with you about us not giving team’s a run for there money but Ashley doesn’t care. He is the biggest problem imo.

      (Quote)

  13. well he will start caring when he is staring at another relegation in the face.
And he must know, that pardoom would have no chance of getting us promoted again. Not with his negative style of play.

      (Quote)

  14. we must have the only owner in the history of football, who is taking money back out of the club to repay its debt to himself.
    Beggars belief.
    only @ NUFC
    👿

      (Quote)

  15. Pardew wouldn’t get Newcastle promoted if we went down imo. Ashley won’t be able to sale the club for what he paid so he is taking money back before he sales. I just think Pardew makes the team weaker with his negative tactics.

      (Quote)

  16. Just a point showing that how at it’s core – Ashley’s model is correct.
By the end of this transfer window, Spurs will barely have spent anything. Why? Because as has so often been for them, the bulk of the transfer has been funded by the sale of a star.
I remember people in the past being angry at the thought of losing one of our best players (a lot of “we need to build on what we have” was being said).
But really, it’s the only way to take us forward (billionaire willing to spend own cash coming in aside).
We have 3 problems which means why Ashley’s/Tottenham’s model doesn’t work for us.

    1) Ashley either doesn’t spend the money, or doesn’t spend it quick enough. Causing disillusioned fans and players. The fact that most Spurs fans don’t mind Bale leaving is a testament to how well they have used the money to replace him.

    2) The players we are buying don’t seem to be good enough.

    3) (Or) the players we buy, through the coaches and Pardew, aren’t being developed to their potential. A year ago – we would have been demanding £25 million minimum for Cabaye/Tiote, now we’d be happy with much less for Cabaye, and don’t give a toss about Tiote.

      (Quote)

  17. @JJ
4-2-3-1 is the most widely used formation for most the top clubs.
They all have two players playing in the pivot. It’s just that ours choose both to choose to sit on the defence.

      (Quote)

  18. Solano – I don’t have a problem with ‘sell 2 by’ when you have a squad of stars to pick from. But we really only have the one, which is why it is so galling to us I guess.
I have to agree with your 3rd point too. The potential value of all our players is dropping rapidly under the guidance of Pardoom and his inept coaches. If we don’t cash in on kebab this year, he will probably be worth next to nowt by next summer. I seriously doubt he will retain his place in the French squad for the WC either.
As much as ultimately the buck stops at Ashley’s door, the immediate problem at the club is Pardoom.
The decision to award 8 year contracts is unbelievably ridiculous.

      (Quote)

  19. ironically once the fans have been shouting for pardooms head, Ashley will have to ‘LEND’ the club the money to pay him off. Adding further to the debt owed already.
It’s still a no lose situation for Ashley, despite it being yet another one of his monumental ****-ups.
The ultimate loser will be the club and its fans.

      (Quote)

  20. BB a lots been said about this 8yr contract, now from what ive heard its a rolling contract which lasts 8yrs,and runs from sept to sept, which jabba was more likely to give, dont think he would drop himself in it for that long mate

      (Quote)

  21. To those hoping we continue to get beat so Pardew gets sacked, I’d be very careful what you wish for!!.
Did Blackburn sack Steve Kean because of poor results or fan pressure?.
No, they were stubborn as hell and were that desperate to prove the fans wrong they took Bburn down. Kean wouldn’t walk coz he knew he’d never manager in the PL again.

I fear Ashley would be equally as stubborn and Pardew equally reluctant to walk.

      (Quote)

  22. Agree about the 4-2-3-1 set up.
It works when you have attack focused midfielders who get forward to help the lone striker.
Unfortunately we have ended up going 4-4-1-1 with 8 defensive players one m/f and an isolated striker. Clearly it isn’t working. We can all see that except for pardoom, who hasn’t got a clue how to change it.
We would do better to adopt a 3-5 2 imo
Having 4 at the back clearly isn’t working, so going just 3 and 2 wingbacks would maybe be a better option.
But Pardoom just wont try anything new.

      (Quote)

  23. The biggest difference between NUFC and Spurs is Daniel Levy. The mans a bloody genius if you ask me.
Him at Spurs and Phil Ayre at Lpool work so hard for their clubs to get things right. Business men who have a full understanding on how the world of modern football works.

We had DL – a business man with little understand of how to deal with football chairmen/DoF – replaced with JFK, a bloke with little understanding about ‘F’ all

      (Quote)

  24. I don’t disagree with everything in this article. What I hate is that you could take most of the criticism of Pards and it would drop seamlessly into the rains we saw about every single manager since Sir Bobby.

The reality we have to grasp is that we have half the revenue of the likes of Arsenal. To demand that we challenge those top spots every season is petulant. We did it two years ago and it was bloody miraculous and yet when that isn’t repeated we bring out the torches and pitchforks.

“We just need a coach to bring a similar kind of football back”

Bollocks. You need a coach and a £400M squad.

Things are bad but can we please gap reality and focus on the stuff that really is down to ***** decision making like appointing a loan shark as a sponsor and a clown as a DOF?

      (Quote)

  25. Ice – I’d like to think you are right about the 8 yr deal. But this is Ashley we are talking about. Nothing makes sense with this fella. 😳

      (Quote)

  26. Sharpy I agree but Levy must be a pain in the **** to deal with like ,look at this bale situation all but done and dusted then gets him to come back to the club. I know the platform was built to announce his arrival like and a bit cheeky and all that , but I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t of done it unless an agreement was in place 😕 . Bale must be tearing his hair out by now.

      (Quote)

  27. JJ-Almost disappointed we won? Don’t backtrack mate, you were willing us to lose and that’s absolutely pathetic, no other way to describe it as far as I’m concerned.

As for Pardew, he’s better than Kinnear. You were giving it the heave ho last season and then as soon as Kinnear came in you admitted you were shaking like a lamb because you expected more from Ashley. What do you see with Kinnear in charge? I just see losses, heart attacks and three managers before relegation. I’m convinced our best case scenario is Poyet, and I don’t see him as anything but a sideways step tbh.

      (Quote)

  28. our 8th and 9th PL matches are against Liverfools (h) and 5under1and (a).
The **** will really hit the fan if we take another humping off the both of them again. Especially after last season.

      (Quote)

  29. ST/BB – IMO we don’t have the players for 4-2-3-1 or for 3-5-2, but Pardew will continue to play 4-2-3-1 because everyone else does and he’d rather do that than play to our strengths.
That’s why Moyes and Martinez are rated as managers and coaches. They would change their formations to ensure they had the best 11 players available to them out on the pitch each week.

IMO the formation that would best suit the squad of players we have just now would be 4-3-1-2 or the diamond formation.

But I’d be happy to see Pardew trying something different and new either with player selection or formations because when I saw how we lined up against Man City (with the absence of Cabs) it was the same ****, new season – and I went from being prepared to give AP time to wanting him sacked on the spot.

      (Quote)

  30. Regarding Kebab playing tomorrow. It will be no use whatsoever booing him onto the pitch. He needs a reception like Rooney got, even if it does choke us.
We need the win desperately, so if he plays, he needs to be supported, despite his behaviour.

      (Quote)

  31. I think the club has lost all it’s identity in recent times ,this Wonga deal makes no sense in that it’s actually less money than Virgin was paying I believe. The only logical conclusion I can draw is that Jabba knew it would evoke masses of publicity on Newcastle and Sports Direct and any publicity is good in his eyes. We all know he brought Toon as a vehicle to promote his shops more globally and this year SD has recorded record profits so it’s working ,in that respect the guys a genius. Sadly that genius doesn’t stretch to running a successful football club unless you count just staying in the PL as a success. The fact is I have no problem with trying to keep us self sufficient ,even a buy to sell at profit policy is fine ,it’s working for Spurs like, the difference is Spurs seem to reinvest their player sales gains and we don’t. Further more Spurs bring in players to replace stars prior to letting top players go something we don’t do ,we are still waiting on Ba’s replacement and AC was sold on deadline day .Ok, so we got £32m but it would cost much more than that if we’d got relegated. Everything just seems one big gamble with Jabba ,something he is obviously partial to ,I just wish he’d gamble with someone/thing else that’s all.

      (Quote)

  32. Kim – good on him I thought. Felt sorry for Bale like but these big clubs just think they can do what they want.
I wish he or someone like him was at NUFC though. I fully expected it when DL was being replaced as well. Not Levy, but someone alot more qualified than JFK

      (Quote)

  33. BB@111 ,I wouldn’t dream of ever booing any of our players ,it’s not gonna change the outcome of anything .I was just saying he’s gonna feel well sheepish.

      (Quote)

  34. Yeah its all gone quiet on the Wonga deal.
Seems like they rode out the storm and have come out the other side.
See more and more people wearing the new shirts.
    😳
Said it before, but there is no stomach for a fight these days. Majority of fans just bend over and take it dry, squealing ‘Toon Toon’ 😳 😳
Shirt sales should have been the first thing to have been hit.

      (Quote)

  35. On merit of this season and last, imo Cabaye shouldn’t even be starting ahead of Anita. Sissoko and he are being played centrally and they’re doing ok-neither are hoofing it as cabs did last year when he was too lazy to run. We need changes though, we can’t persist with straight 4-4-2 because Marv/Jonas are **** poor on the wing and Benny not great either. In fact I think he’s better on the left of a 4-4-2, but on the right if played higher up.

Sammy is the most likely to get a cross in 😯

      (Quote)

  36. I didn’t make a fuss about Wonga-but that said I would never buy a shirt with it on. Gutted really because the kits aren’t bad-especially that members kit, but firstly I won’t advertise for Wonga but mainly I think they make the kit look ***** 😆

Really is madness if its bringing less money in though. Who thought that up, seriously? 😕

      (Quote)

  37. Sharpy-he’s not been caught with his love letter to Blanc yet mind! I imagine that’s what Kinnear is looking for, rather than the players we need!

    Aussie 😆

  38. Couldnt agree more with the article and with most comments made, esp BB.

Would be very interested to know what the club are doing to try and expand our ‘global brand’. We simply have to tap into the emerging markets and rhe East, as thats where the money is. Look at the tour Lpool went on and sold out stadia of 90k+. As some have mentioned we dont have the clout to compete with ‘big’ clubs, but we can have a decent coach.

I can remember of the top of my head, but did P Souza play decent stuff or is that why he got the boot at Swansea?

      (Quote)

  39. Newkie, what would you know about strips fella, I’ve seen your colour blind effort with you fantasy team 😆

      (Quote)

  40. Rubbish Whumpie. You missed the point entirely. We have a golden ticket with the entertainers tag – that is the key to increasing world wide revenue. All we have to do is alter our approach to football games to reflect the entertainers tag, then relentlessly advertise the entertainers across the world. We dont need a £400m squad to play that kind of football. Swansea, Blackpool and West Brom have all managed it in recent years on low budgets. The difference is, we have genuine pedigree in this field and are famed for the brand of football we produced in the 90’s. All we hvae to do is stick to those footballing principles and advertise accordingly. It’s not about winning at the moment, it’s about changing the perception of us and the revenue will follow in due course.

      (Quote)

  41. Aussie-you don’t like the pink shorts? I’m tempted to make the whole kit pink, after all I bet I’m getting so much attention on there after remaining, oh what was it?

    TOP O THE LEAGUE!

    😆

      (Quote)

  42. No one has won the premiership in August Newkie! 😛 Although it seems that we are going to be relegated in August tho 😆 😆

      (Quote)

  43. And my article does not state that we should be challenging the top spots. I mentioned trying to match the likes of Spurs on the global scale nd bringing back a brand/football club we can be proud of regardless of results. At the moment we are losing games and boring fans to tiers with negative, ineffective football. What;s the harm in altering our approach? We are likely to be relegated if we carry on like this. Get Pardew out, get Kinnear out.

      (Quote)

  44. Shamrock-how many more goals have Swansea and WBA scored than us then, say over the last two seasons? Disregarding the fact that the football we played in the 90s was different to Swansea’s anyway.

      (Quote)

  45. forget goals, results and tell me that swansea have plyed a boring brand of football? again, missing the point. it’s about ltering the perception of us.

      (Quote)

  46. Ausise- 😉 if JJ has his way we will be ejected from the English league by end of August, that way we can get rid of Pards and he can take charge and lead us to 10-0 wins against the Lesotho spingboks afc or even the mighty Cape Town whalers.

      (Quote)

  47. Shamrock – we haven’t been the entertainers in 15yrs or so, and even when we were we won nowt to warrant world wide recognition on the same scale of Liverpool or Arsenal for example.
But I agree that that era is what we should aim for again. Regardless of who they supported, fans worldwide enjoyed watch the entertainers and win, loose or draw we should be aiming for that style of football again – but that will never come under Pardew or while MA is in charge IMO.

      (Quote)

  48. Shamrock-personally I found Swansea two years ago under Brendan very boring. All about possession and completely lacking in incision-they were basically the antithesis of the entertainers. The entertainers was about getting forward, getting the ball in the box, getting in the box, trying your luck. Swansea were possession and nee risks-I said all they needed was to play more incisively and lo and behold someone comes in, tries that and they look fantastic.

We could attempt to rebrand, I know what you mean, but at the end of the day the hordes of glory hunters follow success-it’s not a coincidence people followed the entertainers because we often fought out at the top of the league. Go and see how many people support Blackpool over the globe for their attacking football from a few years back. Winning cups or getting up the league would improve our marketability-but we didn’t take advantage of that when we finished 5th and I don’t forsee much luck in the cups,

      (Quote)

  49. has anyone noticed that we’ve paused all the formations people are asking for here? We’ve also dropped the hoofball for a more leading game.
    Two problems with that:
    1. To play that way and win you need a quality of players that is beyond our means.
    2. To play that way and win you need to build a team and gain based around your key playmaker. That would be the one not available at short notice then.

      (Quote)

  50. Shamrock – Very much agree mate. We need to have the questions asked on what the club are doing to increase to brand globally. Has anyone attended the fans forum meetings? (btw I can find you on twitter)

Is there a premier league fantasy football league set up by the blog?

      (Quote)

  51. yeh I appreciate it’s never that simple – but right now I am more bored following our club thn ever before. it rwally is like watching paint dry, and the results are not coming – so what’s the point in it? something has to change. nobody can happy to continue with this status quo.

      (Quote)

  52. So there is talk that Remy could be fit for tomorrow, if so, my team would be:

    —————– Krul —————-
    Santon – Colo – Mapou – Dummett
    ————– Cabaye ————-
    —– Sissko ———- Anita —–
    ————– Benny ————–
    ——– Shola —– Remy ———

If Debuchy was right back and Santon left back and Cisse played instead of Shola I could live with that.
Sissoko and Anita would drop back alongside Cabs when we don’t have the ball but get forward and when we had it – Sissoko in particular.

      (Quote)

  53. Shamrock – you’re right, I had missed that bit and I agree with the point entirely. What I don’t agree with is how to go about it. It takes mow than just another manager. A squad like the original Entertainers one would cost Man City money now.

      (Quote)

  54. Decent formation Sharpy – but Remy will only be fit for a short cameo. What then? Shola with Gouffran just off? The way Cisse’s been playing anything would be better. He’ll play Debuchy and Santon though.

      (Quote)

  55. I would go with this

    —————– Krul —————-
    Santon – Colo – Mapou – Dummett
    —– Sissko ———- Anita —–
    —Benny—– Cabaye—– Remy ———
    ————– Cisse ————–

I think Cabaye (if he plays) is too deep. He needs to be further forward to try and unlock the defense. I dont think he should be a ‘quarterback’ pinging long balls. I want him further forward.

      (Quote)

  56. Just something to aim for, not saying we should make it happen immediately – however we cn oput the measures in place to start working that way immediately (sacking Pardew and getting a more modern/forward thinking gaffer in place) 😉

      (Quote)

  57. @Shamrock
The only time we have ever been entertaining is when we have had world class managers and world class players.
I would take “Pardew brand” football and 5th place, over Wigan style and mediocrity.
Entertaining football AND results would be lovely. But as said above, we have rarely achieved that.

      (Quote)

  58. I think Pardew and co will be here for two more years.
Ashley will probably keep spending to a bare minimum, recoup his debts, and be able to sell us for a price that someone will pay.
Pardew will float us around mid-table.

  59. Think debuchy needs a chance look at enrique and colo when they first joined. He is a french international after all.

His boyfriend cabaye going might be upsetting him too.

Pards stay of execution could be over soon as close as this weekend if we lose. Got to be.

He just looks like he wants to punch someone in every interview

  60. Shamrock-it is pretty boring true, although personally I’m not so sure it is the worst football we have ever played ever ever ever- I loved our promotion/first season back because the goals came in and we had a geordie scoring and I liked Nolan/Barton but from a “footballing” spectacle in terms of passing we were **** poor-Pardew actually improved us that season at least as far as playing on the deck was concerned, or maybe that was just what happened after we sold Carroll? I’d have to go back and watch. But years previously, **** and Smith midfields…ugh that was painful.

I appreciate some fans have had enough-they are here for the entertainment and came to support us because of that in the first place, rather than the team. They can always go elsewhere. I’m not trying to be a **** about this but I have to support the toon, I was born this way and for me I will always cheer a goal-especially if its a winning goal no matter the opposition-I certainly won’t type into my keyboard about how **** the goal was and how upset its going to make me, that’s just not who I am.

Changing Pardew will make so little difference with an owner who won’t invest in a side and will only pay out peanuts to a manager, which make us one of the worst propositions for any manager out there. We’ve been a poisoned chalice since Robson-in fact probably since KK, and it’s only gotten worse now that we don’t have the money to throw around that we used to.

  61. Let’s not forget, with KK we bought the most expensive player in the entire world-look at us now forking out a mil here and there to loan players. You just can’t compare it.
