How much do you want the three points?

Yeah, yeah, I know. The potential sacking of Alan Pardew has certainly dominated discussions of late but I thought I would throw a few hypothetical questions out to you all on the eve of our game against Hull.

Is he worth it?
Is he worth it?

Without a win this season, we are currently sitting at the foot of the table and we are desperately in need of a win to boost morale and secure a much needed three points. On any other occasion, the three points on offer would be first and foremost in importance in nearly every fans minds. However as all things anti Alan Pardew have transpired of late, would the three points be a good thing this weekend? Would we be better off, losing this game with the hope that it brings an end to Pardews tenure as our manager? Of course there are no guarantees that Pardew will be fired come Monday after a loss. But what if it does bring an end to his reign, would it all be worth the three points on offer tomorrow?

Let me know what you think!

  1. Cabella brings nothing at the moment.
He needs to take the responsability as the only creative player, asks for the ball more and take more risks.. otherwise I don’t see how we can score, maybe a shoot with deflection..

  2. We have had a few shots on target though this game. I’m not sure whether any would have reached the goal line, but some might say it’s improvement.

  3. and some though Pardew wouldnt play one up front 😯
the bloke is too predictable and stubborn to change his ways, hes a dinosaur with 80’s Wimbledon tactics.

  4. Miserable buggers. Determied to not enjoy a game. I’m liking what I see. I’d be happier if there were more options in the box, but this is a vast improvement on last week.

  5. This match should put to bed any link to Steve Bruce as replacement for Pardew.
He is just as bad imho. Hull look as **** as us, if not worse.

  6. so the lack of goals scored given 14 chances comes back to bite us on the ***.
    Pardew will never learn

  7. The question is how many more will we concede as Pardew tries to limit the damage.
“make no bones, Hull are a good team”

  8. yes, why don’t we still pursue with a lone striker. it didnt work the first half, now we’re 1-0 down and we still insist on one striker. 👿

  9. the problem is in difficult times any of our player is able to ask for the ball, and take on player, take risk. to affraid to loose the ball

  10. On balance, I enjoyed that game. Great fightback. Really encouraging. Hull scored two screamers and that was just about all they got. Well done, the lads. Again, as in the Villa game, should have won it.

No complaints from me. A good entertaining game.

  11. Stay of execution for AP. Although reality is a draw at Home against Hull is **** poor! Don’t think we will get anything from next two games but great to are Passis back scoring goals. As for Riviere; oh dear!

  12. Bris – you’re easily pleased mate.

I’m pleased we managed to salvage a point from the game. But for me, we were 2 nil down that’s to Pardew again showing that he doesn’t have the ability to break from Plan A.

Really pleased for Cisse, and that should shut some critics up hopefully. Amazing what you can do when you’re fully fit.
Hats off to the fans as well I thought. It wasnt 90mins of venomous chanting as most thought it might be, and when we scored they got behind the team.

But the first half for me was enough to show why Pardew HAS to go!!. We will never know what this squad could do while he’s in charge, and Rivière will always struggle while he is the only NUFC player in the box.

I fully expect the fat lad to give Pardew his get out of jail free card – but we STILL haven’t won a game!.

  13. We weren’t good enough by far. But I’m not sure that was Pardews fault. We just can’t score goals.

Anyone who would like to review their ridiculous stance on the amount of goals Cabella and Riviere will score can do it now without the **** being taken…

But let’s not get past the fact that we drew at home against Hull who will be mid table. That’s not good and at this rate we will be relegated.
