Game On! Queens Park Rangers Vs Newcastle United

Hoops v Magpies
Hoops v Magpies
Newcastle United travel to Queens Park Rangers today in the Barclays Premier League (3pm kick-off).
The Magpies go into the fixture at Loftus Road having secured their first point in nine games with a 1-1 home draw against West Bromwich Albion last weekend.
While Rangers were hammered 6-0 at Manchester City, which confirmed that they will be playing Championship football next season. We go into this game in desperate need of a win to try to stop us really going down to the wire in the relegation scrap to confirm the last relegation place, also a win will be our first double of the season.
Speaking ahead of todays game John Carver said “If I was Chris Ramsey and I had just lost at Man City by the score line they lost then I’d be at my players to put on a show,” “Let’s not forget this is their last home game in the Premier League for at least one season and they did take a beating last weekend, so I’d want my players to put on a good show.
“Yes, they may be a little more relaxed, yes he might play some younger players, but there’s one or two players in that team that will have a point to prove and will want to go out on a high.
“We know how difficult it is to go to Man City and get a result but that will drive them forward now.
“I have sympathy for Chris – he hasn’t got a great deal of experience managing in the Premier League but he’s a good guy and a good coach and hopefully he’ll get the job next season.
“But for now there are some big characters in the QPR dressing room that won’t want to do us any favours at the weekend.
“I’m looking forward to it because it’s going to be a big challenge for us, there will be pressure on but we will have to embrace that.”
Team News
Newcastle – Daryl Janmaat returns to the squad after completing a one-match ban for his red card at Leicester a fortnight ago, but fellow defender Mike Williamson remains out, serving the second game of his two-match ban. 1. Newcastle players try things, and make mistakes, that no other Premier League or Championship player would do.

They really are a docile bunch of twats..

  2. Just watch this bloke Sissoko…he has a yellow streak running down his bag. A cheat.

  3. Scum and Leicester playing for a draw here. If it stays like this we have saved Villa and Leicester 👿

      (Quote)

  4. We should give Cabella away. Don’t want to see him or Sissoko again in a toon shirt.
ffs these turkeys can’t even avoid defeat at a relegated club…

      (Quote)

  5. so many dreadfully naive and poor decisions from the toon throughout the whole park. Absolutely shocking performance, devoid of quality..

      (Quote)

  6. Any decent coach and it includes Pardew, would have sorted out Krul’s distribution which has always been rubbish.

      (Quote)

  7. Yeah Cabella is a failure this season. I know it takes time for some to adjust – but I’m not convinced his decision making is going to improve. we should take a few quid for Sissoko whilst we have the chance. He is a tad gutless.

  9. Someone needs to tell these jerks they got 15mins to save their skins cause it won’t happen next weekend

  10. I think its great – carver you are doing a sterling job…double agent carver.

  11. Anita should have played in place of Raylor. Anita had a decent game last week. Didn’t Carver see it?

  12. I am a bit naffed off a bruce for not holding his own like but this is not too bad.

  13. Ugly John said this as quoted from The Chronic:

“The Leicester game brought it to a head,” said the interim coach, who astonishingly accused Mike Williamson of deliberately getting himself sent off, the first of two visiting players dismissed that afternoon. “I have not seen that in all the games over 90 minutes, it was the worst 90 I have seen. I had seen glimpses, a first half or a second half, but not for a complete game.
“I wish Leicester had happened a bit earlier. That would have given us more time. It has happened and we deal with it and we have to get on with it.”

    You said what John?

  14. Let’s be honest, the whole team is going through the motions. End of story.
We just do not want it enough at the end of the day.

Shocking throughout the whole team. Jonas is trying his heart out, but he just aint good enough. The rest are cheating us.

  15. well its simple now at least, we are going to lose next week, its all about what Hull so. our destiny is already out of our own hands. this is a mirror image of the relegation last time – under cashley… look on the bright side, he loses 70 million.. now that has godda put a smile on every true Geordie face.

  16. West Ham will beat this Willy Wonka Newcastle team easily in 2nd gear.
Absolutely powder puff and light weight..

  17. even if we get a draw next weekend we would still go down on goal difference if hull win. do I think we will get a win? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha..no.

  18. John Carver simply can not be at Newcastle United in any role whatsoever next season.

Had a bad feeling today, but it’s so embarassing tor.ose yet again to a side with nothing to play for.

      (Quote)

  19. I think the players all want us to get relegated because they hate our club that much. I really do. we deserve that hatred and attitude as its the exact same attitude that Ashley himself has. you reap what you sow and it will always be correct in the end. its a long season and nothing is down to luck. I bet AP is loving this.

      (Quote)

  20. **** off Carver and the whole squad, you can’t outplay a team as ***** as QPR. 👿 👿 👿

      (Quote)

  21. Staying up only prelongs the agony. Whether it’s next week or next season, we will go down. The club is dead.

      (Quote)

  22. we deserve what we got and that was nowt.mid table Championship side at best all season.
Complete change needed from top to bottom

      (Quote)

  23. LLLLLLLLDL. But Big D is giving me stick about calling Carvs ugly 🙂 Statistics rarely lie.

      (Quote)

  24. Craig Chisolm @193. You are onto something there mate.

Now we know that all that waiting for Aarons and Cisse…well…it aint gonna help us at all is it ?

      (Quote)

  25. I think we will drop right through the div 1 into div 2. the club is rotten from top to bottom. we have nothing positive other than a nice concrete stadium and the fans. everything else about nufc is just a memory.

      (Quote)

  26. Question is whether can we win West Ham? 😐 😐

If we do win, i hope Hull wins too~! 😳 😳

      (Quote)

  27. More dumb calls demanding Carver to be sacked. Are you idiots???

Everyone knows that Carver isn’t good enough to be our manager, probably including Carver himself! But he’s doing the best he can in very difficult circumstances, so I wish people would just lay off him as THERE IS NO BETTER ALTERNATIVE RIGHT NOW.

If he has the gall to put his hat forward for the permanent job, I suggest we drop him off the Tyne Bridge though…

      (Quote)

  28. stuart79.. I think you and I are the only ones that have been 100% anti all things Ashley. its taken a year longer than I thought but here we are again, looking at div 1 footy – this time we will not come up again for many years. its going to be footballing oblivion for a decade I think.

      (Quote)

  29. That is now 10 points from 54 since Carvs took over. That is an 18.5% points % FFS. LLLLLLLLDL. Worst manager ever.

      (Quote)

  30. We dont have the playing personnel. Our defense is lacking both in numbers and quality.. Our wingers have no end product. We do not have enough depth up front. Our goalkeeper can make save – but his distribution must surely be the worst in the league and our manager is a halfwit – evidenced by the 2nd half today, the previous 8 games and his nonsensical mutterings during his press conferences.

We need new coaches too – because for too long our defense has been *****, our end supply lines have been ***** and our end product has been *****. There is no point in getting a new manager unless he is given the freedom of a decent budget and ability to chose his own players and staff – otherwise the rot will continue.

Time for Ashley to wake up or f*ck off.

      (Quote)

  31. I really don’t like this habit of slagging off our loyal players and staff. Saylor and Shola slagged off despite being Geordies and always trying their best, Carver being given hell despite him just standing in because of Ashley’s/Charnley’s inadequacies…hell, I even remember SBR getting **** before he resigned and some Geordies suggesting Shearer was finished years before he actually was!

We’re supposed to respect a player who is trying for us, even if he’s not the best player in the world. The same respect needs to be shown to Carver. Even if he is the worst manager in the Premier League…

      (Quote)

  32. What are you talking about TDS @206? Carver’s record speaks volumes. I think even you might do a better job 🙂

      (Quote)

  33. TDS – Let me tell you something. The players do NOT like Carver! That is fact and I know for a fact! That means he’s not doing his best. He’s a liability and the only chance we have of winning next week is without Carver in charge. Please pull your head out of your **** and look at the results since he took the job.

He needs to leave and leave NOW otherwise it’s another defeat next week and then Hull only need a draw and I fancy them to get that.

      (Quote)

  34. @206… utter rubbish mate, carver has to take his share of the blame – and its a massive share. the bloke has been constantly begging for the control of first team, every day he comes out and says he is the right man, he is in pole position he is the best manager in the division (that was a strange one) etc etc.. he should have said to the fat **** that he could NOT manage it and he would NOT manage it and he the fat **** needed to bring in a top manager asap to save the team from relegation. So what does carver do instead.. he convinces the glorious powers that be that no other than the mighty carver is the man and that he will easily get the points needed as only a few and still half a season to go.
Please don’t give me the no blame culture **** ffs… their is blame to be dished out and carver is as guilty as the other fuckwits running the team.

      (Quote)

  35. ToonDarnSarf@206, I suppose you may have a teensy weensy inkling of the frustration of what the fans may be feeling ?

or are you a happy clapper after watching that crock of ***** poncing round in the name of Newcastle United since as you point out “THERE IS NO BETTER ALTERNATIVE RIGHT NOW ?” ?

      (Quote)

  36. My worry is Carver was appointed because the board knew he would be ***** and knew most fans would blame him for the mess we are in. They replace him in the summer, keep the same structure and make a couple of token signings and the fans are happy. 😳

We need a complete re-structure in how we operate or any changes are wasted.

We wont go down because Hull wont win against Manure. Manure need to win to get 3rd place and automatic Champion’s League.

      (Quote)

  37. I can only see us getting a draw at the best next week and that will only be enough if Sunderland get a battering in their last two games and Hull lose or draw and that will be Sunderland or Hull down. We ain’t beating West Ham.

      (Quote)

  38. a sad case of the ref not pointing to the spot twice in my opion for fouls on cabella 🙁

      (Quote)

  39. carver wont quit – even though he needs to. the man is an utter disgrace and needs to leave football forever. we all know he going to come out and say the same old **** he has been saying for what seems like all season. ” its all in our own hands and as long as we win next weekend we are safe, we know what we have to do now’. I cant stand the bloke, all you have to do is listen to him and look at his face to know he is a complete fucking idiot. I would not trust him with a infant school five a side man.

      (Quote)

  40. I have been looking forward to this game all week because I thought surely this is the BIG chance to get the points we need to make ourselves safe, and I can finally enjoy my weekend.
But no…it just aint gonna happen..

John Carver will go down in history as the biggest loser in the history of NUFC. The lad has asked for it, now he is going to get it. Ashley the knacker let the bloke play with his baubles, and the incompetency of all parties involved, not least the players, have contrived to perform the absolutely greates fück up of all imaginable föck ups… In fact I would go as far as to say this is an IMMENSE fük up …

      (Quote)

  41. Stuart79@217, I can see nothing other than a toon defeat next week mate… 😕

      (Quote)

  42. Chris @220. Couldn’t have said it better myself mate. I have been ranting for months, since he was hired, that he is clueless and proved it as Assistant Manager and coach-in-charge-of-the-hoof-it-to-Williamson-routine. CICOTHITWR. Where are you Troysta??? 🙂 🙂 🙂

      (Quote)

  43. Sorry, mistake on SBR. No idea where that came from. Brain fart. Slagged off FFS enough times for sacking him…
