  1. anyone else notice how often Wijnaldum or Sissoko , just don’t quite get there ?
    It’s called cheating…

  2. Can we officially declare we give up as a club?

Honestly, fold the club. Stop it. No championship next year, just the end of NUFC. This club is fundamentally broken and diseased.

  6. Well I guess we are going down. I thought Townsend played well enough and scored a fantastic goal that normally we would be raving about, but sadly it was lost in the total mediocrity that is the Toon. Just so bad. Gutted.

  7. Maybe it will click with Mike now. Doesn’t matter who you have as manager, buy a **** weak team and you will struggle.

Get moyes or Pearson on the blower. Rafa won’t be any good in the championship

  8. Gashley
I bet you didn’t tell him you take the **** out of me for suggesting he could do a job at the toon for the last 10 games.
Tell the truth. You told him you wanted him. 😀

  9. That first half was from another planet. Saylor’s play was interesting. When did he join Southampton? I don’t think we’ll see him again this season. Janmaat got himself out of there right sharpish as well. Non-existent back four. Sissoko hopeless again. The only attack came through Townsend. They had 10 corners by the time we had 1. 11 chances to 1 in the first half. The numbers are overwhelming. They ran through us so easily time after time. Rafa must be cringing. Will we even win 1 with him in charge?

  10. Norwich have 1 winnable game V sunderland at home. If only we had of protected the draw last week we would still be in it… I fancy 1-1 Norwich v sunderland

      (Quote)

  11. The lack of organization at the back is shocking. Saylor has never played worse I don’t think. Turned so easily by Long. Suicide back pass to Darlow. Strange clearances ending up in corners. The man was a complete write-off. Anita was horrible at LB. Completely lost there. Janmaat got himself sent off. An embarrassment to watch.

  12. Rafa still talking a good game. Sky sports panel are saying the board should of bought defenders when needed. Charlie Nicholas said the toon players were sent out early by rafa and they stood in the tunnel not uttering a word to each other.
The players are not bothered or capable of winning games

  13. I’m now a Norwich fan. If we’re going down, I at least want Sunderland to go down too.

  14. The stench coming out of our dressing room is beyond belief. What has happened to Sissoko? Can’t cross a ball. Couldn’t get a shot anywhere near the net when their keeper was caught out of position. Failed miserably. The same with Wijnaldum. What a pair of internationals they are. Go home you two. Take some of the other idiots with you.

      (Quote)

  15. It’s still shocking to me how bad we are. What is Charnley doing still in charge? Any other club and he’d be long gone. He didn’t deserve to stay after that pathetic second half of last season. Now he’s been in charge while we wasted most of 80M and gotten us relegated.

      (Quote)

  16. I hope there is a sound plan for championship football somewhere in Ashley’s desk. But i fear the worst.

      (Quote)

  17. The rot set in when Ashley bought us. After that it’s been excuses, lies, mismanagement, lackeys, more lies. The escape last season was probably a bad thing because it allowed Ashley to keep the same group of lackeys on, spend 80M and then get us relegated. He has to go or this will only be the beginning. We could end up in Division 2 or 3 with him. Ashley out.

      (Quote)

  18. Time to stop relying on the “experienced” players. Maybe the odd youngster might put in some effort. Couldn’t do worse than Munich’s cheats. Hope Janmaat never plays another game for us along with Sissoko

      (Quote)

  19. The panic will have fully set in with Mike now. He knows the jig is up. Charnley will have to go just to save face. Hopefully the same for Carr but we had better have able replacements in mind because it won’t be easy with far less money. This disaster has brewed for at least 3 seasons with no rhyme or reason coming from the board. What kind of man is Moncur? I didn’t realize he was as clueless as Charnely but he has had no positive impact that I can see. The entire club structure is a shambles.

  20. this is what you get when you have a bullshitting owner telling porkie after porkie.

What chance did we have aiming for 12-15th spot every season and bailing out of cups.

We should get the protests in full swing. starting with nobody shopping at SD

He needs to go. stop going to games, stop giving the fat f*** money. he’s taking the **** for the last time with me

  22. That performance was lacklustre and lacked any quality.
We deserve to go down. The second worst defence and the second worst attack.
    Buy *****. You get *****.
Charnley is way out of his depth.

It was poor and worse than that, Janmaat couldn’t wait to get off!!!!

What to do in Southampton then? I’m off to the local gay bar.

  25. well stu

the toon bent over backwards & had it stuck up them big style today, you might as well keep the theme going into the night 🙂

      (Quote)

  26. that’s two reports I’ve heard about the lack of “team” at the toon. One about the failure to get off the bus for a team building walk in Malaga, and the second today about the lack of crack in the tunnel before the game.

The chemistry is obviously rotten at the club, and throughout the players. I’m afraid it eminates from the top, and reflects the dreadful attitude at the club. The players are all professionals, and should be at least giving 100%. But to have ben so absolutely draedfully ***** for so long, is a sure sign that there is something SERIOUSLY wrong at the toon. I bet the treatment of Jonas went down like a lead baloon amongst the squad, the treatment of Ben Arfa, offloading of seasoned pros and the pampering up to Collocini. Throw in a large dose of Geordie John, and a further dose of the grinning McClaren and no wonder the players have downed tools.

At the end of the day, the players don’t give a flying flock. You can throw Rafa at the problem, but his sheer will and energy will not move the cheats at NUFC to bother there ****.

p.s. plus a whole host of players shouldn’t be anywhere near the EPL to begin with, which further exacerbates the problem.

When Rafa leaves we will be in the brown stuff. Is there a manager out there to rescue the fans from the imbeciles running the club, and the cheating wasters poncing and posing and impersonating professional footballers ? No there isn’t. Rafa was Charnley’s last throw of the dice. Unfortunately the gamble failed massively.

  27. What a nightmare.

The only good things about the game were I had 4 pints of Carlsberg to dull my senses and some Popeye’s fried chicken on the walk home.

  29. Here we have Janmaat, Wijnaldum and De Jong strolling through the game, trying hard not to get injured for the Euros …. did they forget because Holland are so **** they didn’t qualify…and we can see why with the cheats unwilling to get there knees dirty. What a bunch of wasters..
Having said that playing alongside that freaking useless Steven Taylor would put anyones lights out.
Massive errors of judgement by Rafa ? Perez before Cisse ? Steve Taylor starting at all ? The bloke is abysmal and costs us 2 goals today with his lack of movement. His back turning for the first goal was ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC !
Why not start Dummett when he is fit and on the bench ? The Saints attacked purely down the left hand side, Dummet would have had an easier game.
    Why Rafa ?

  32. I am seeing people have a go at Rafa now, which I find ridiculous. People are really moaning that Perez started? Aren’t those the same people who moaned when he didn’t start?

The fans are as much to blame. Too many brain dead morons who blindly turn up and support no matter what ***** they are served. No one has the backbone to make a stand anymore. As evidenced by the states this country goes into when our doctors merely ask for a fair wage and working hours.

This country is a broken shithole nevermind this club now.

  36. Benitez went for experience but it didn’t work Taylor should be nowhere near the 1st team. Why keep playing a rubbish midfielder at left back when we have an U21 squad, I.e Gibson. Anyway it’s time to play the youngsters because it can’t be any worse than this *****. Fair play to Lascalles calling every one out on the lack of effort. Only player to stand up and tell it like it is. 4 wins from 6 games is needed. Not impossible but unlikely.

      (Quote)

  37. Gash: it worked this time and it is definitely the way Wijnaldum’s contract was done 🙂

  38. Can’t blame Benitez for any decisions. He is being advised by those who were there who got us in this mess.
He needs time to see how the players perform and to learn from mistakes.
That’s why leaving it until 10 games left was another major faux pas.
I said the club were dithering after a dozen games and McLaren should be gone. Some on here kept dithering as well.

I’m sure you made comments about being impressed with his professionalism when he first arrived trying to put his stamp on things 😳

  41. to be fair Troy.

    we were all wrong.

I doesnt matter who we replaced SM with, or when we replaced SM.
Bottom line is we have a team of cheats that arent bothered either way if we go down or stay up.

Rafa’s ratio is as bad as Carvers (worse)… they might show it in training but on match day they bottle it, can’t wait to get out of here.

Time to start again, hopefully without Mike

  42. Gashley

    Two things;
I never wanted McLaren as I didn’t want Pardew sacked. 😉
Second, that link about Lascelles and his comments. The players, like the players back in 2009 are an utter disgrace.
It’s clear to see there’s no passion. I’ve made comment after the game. But for a player within the dressing room to say it then its sickening.
This all stems from having a transfer committee. Players don’t have the same loyalty to a manager if they haven’t been bought by the manager.
It’s the basics of the work place.
If you are head hunted by a boss, you will graft your bollocks off. If you are told where to go by another boss, then you aren’t as committed.
As long as we run the club like this, we will always go from crisis to crisis.

  44. Would Janmaat have been so quick to leave the field it was a game to win the title or it was a FA Cup final?
I might be being unfair to him but even injured players try their utmost to stay on the field when it’s a glory game. He was off the pitch like a shot.

  45. If it’s true that the players are playing with too much fear then at this stage there are two options.
    1. bring in the kids ( it can’t get much worse ) and we’re all but down anyway
    or
    2. Get a top hypnotherapy guy in to convince them when under that they are world beaters who hold no fear even when we concede .
Actually there is a 3rd option
sack the lot of em. 😉

They might try a bit harder at home as 50k fans surrounding you for 90 mins is a bit tougher to hide.
Away from home, they try and keep the away fans happy.
