Former West Ham striker sends message to new Newcastle United defender

Hayden

Elliot Lee has congratulated Isaac Hayden on his move to Newcastle United.

The Rafael Benitez revolution at Newcastle United continued after the Magpies completed the signing of Isaac Hayden from Premier League giants Arsenal.

Hayden has joined Newcastle on a five year deal and big things will certainly be expected of the 21-year-old at St. James’ Park.

Upon the completion of his transfer to Newcastle, Hayden expressed his delight and stated that he wants to guide the club back into the Premier League.

The youngster told Newcastle’s official website, “Newcastle is a massive football club and to be given the opportunity to come here and progress my career is fantastic,” said Hayden.

“Being at Arsenal was a great experience, I learnt a lot there and have a lot to thank them for, but I needed to move on and so when Newcastle came in for me I jumped at the chance.

“I am still young but I want to get as many games under my belt as I can and help the team bounce back to the Premier League.”

Hayden is a versatile player who can play at centre-back, central midfield, right back and even as a playmaker if required and many are understandably very excited to see how the Arsenal youth graduate will be able to acquit himself with the Championship side.

Apart from the Newcastle fans, former West Ham United striker Elliott Lee has also been left very happy upon Hayden’s move to Tyneside and the Barnsley star has gone on to wish the England Under-20 star luck on social media website Twitter.
