Barcelona are plotting a move to sign Newcastle United striker Ayoze Perez, according to Spanish media outlet Futbolistos.
While Newcastle United have endured a couple of terrible campaigns over the past two seasons, one of the few silver linings for the Magpies has been the emergence of striker Ayoze Perez.
Perez has managed to impress the St. James’ Park faithful with his committed performances since his arrival from Tenerife a couple of seasons ago and the 22-year-old is now considered as one of the most promising attackers in the world.
Following Newcastle’s relegation into the Championship, Perez has pledged his allegiance to the Tyneside outfit but that has not stopped the striker being linked with a host of clubs.
Now according to reports emerging out of Spanish media outlet Futbolistos, La Liga champions Barcelona are currently considering a swoop for Perez and the youngster has been viewed as a potential backup to the likes of Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Neymar for the upcoming campaign.
