Newcastle United are demanding professionalism from Georginio Wijnaldum amid talks of his departure from the club, according to reports from the Chronicle.
Wijnaldum is desperate for a departure from Newcastle United following the club’s relegation into the Championship and it has widely been reported that Premier League outfit Liverpool are currently leading the race to sign the Dutchman.
However, Newcastle have placed a whopping £27 million price tag on Wijnaldum and Liverpool are understandably reluctant to pay such a large fee.
While it is expected eventually that Liverpool will be able to come to an agreement to sign Wijnaldum, the Chronicle have gone on to reveal that Newcastle United want the 25-year-old to remain professional during the negotiations, despite his desire to leave immediately.
The report also reveal that Newcastle have no chance of signing defender Jon Flanagan from Liverpool as a part exchange in the deal involving Wijnaldum.
