Newcastle United are leading the chase for Wolverhampton Wanderers star Conor Coady, according to TalkSPORT.
The Magpies head Sheffield Wednesday and Queens Park Rangers are interested in the defensive midfielder. Coady moved from Huddersfield Town to Molineux last summer for a fee believed to be £2m.
With Rafa Benitez in charge at Anfield when Coady was on Merseyside, there is a suggestion that the 23 year-old, capped by England Under-20s, would prefer to work with Spaniard once more.
As well as Huddersfield Town and Wolves, Coady also has experience with Sheffield United in League One. He has made 107 league appearances in the lower divisions.
Wolves, recently taken over by a Chinese consortium, are expected to listen to offers for a number of their squad and Coady despite making 39 appearances last season, has fallen out of favour with Kenny Jackett. It had been expected that he would be removed by the new owners but they have decided to the manager for the start of next season.
