Rafa Benitez is closing in on yet another signing as the club have triggered a £4.5 Million release clause of Hull City midfielder Mohamed Diame.
The 29 year old former West Ham star joined Hull in 2014 and has scored 13 goals in 50 appearances for the Tigers and most notably the stunning strike that decided the Championship Play Off Final at Wembley in May.
The Senegalese internationalist was also part of the National squad at London 2012 and has made over 30 appearances in the first team.
It is expected that Benitez is seeking a replacement for Moussa Sissoko who is looking likely to be heading to the Bernabeau over the next few weeks.
What’s your thoughts on this deal? Is it a good signing for the club and who else do you think we should bring in?
