Report: Newcastle could facilitate two deals with Premier League side

Sissoko

Newcastle are keen on securing the services of Everton’s Brendan Galloway while the Toffees are interested in Moussa Sissoko, according to reports from the Sun.

Despite all the hype following their summer splurge in the transfer market, Newcastle United started off their Championship campaign with a very disappointing 1-0 defeat at the hands of Fulham on Friday night.

The result most certainly comes as a reality check for Newcastle and winning promotion from the second tier of English football will surely not be an easy task for the Magpies, no matter how talented their squad is.

Manager Rafael Benitez will be well aware of this fact and in order to boost Newcastle’s promotion aspirations, the Spanish manager is looking to make further additions to his squad before the end of the summer transfer window.

Now according to reports from the Sun, claims have been made that Benitez is planning to improve his backline with the signing of Everton full-back Brendan Galloway.

Galloway is seemingly available on loan at the moment and Newcastle are allegedly ready to pay a rental fee as well as cover his entire wages to sign the defender on a temporary deal.

The report add that Everton are interested in wantaway Newcastle man Moussa Sissoko but any prospective deal for the French international will be separate to that of Galloway.
