Dutch international wants Newcastle United star to join Netherlands outfit

Luuk De Jong has expressed his desire to see elder brother Siem De Jong join PSV Eindhoven.

Siem De Jong has proven to be a huge flop since his £6 million move from Ajax Amsterdam to Newcastle United back in 2014 and following the Magpies’ drop into the Championship, it is widely expected that the attacker will be leaving St. James’ Park this summer.

A move back to the Netherlands has been seen as a possibility for De Jong and it had been claimed recently that Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven were considering a swoop for the 27-year-old.

PSV have not made their move for De Jong as of yet due to the fact that the Netherlands international is currently injured at the moment but the move looks likely to come into fruition eventually and PSV star Luuk De Jong has now gone on to express his desire to see his elder brother arrive at the Philips Stadion.

Speaking to Voetbal Primeur, the 25-year-old said, “It’s a dream to play with him. He is of course welcome to me. It’s a shame that he is injured in the preparation. Hopefully he recovers quickly because he wants to play good football somewhere.”
