Newcastle United reach an agreement with winger

Newcastle United have managed to tie down winger Rolando Aarons to a long term contract.

Rolando Aarons was able to excite the Newcastle United faithful after breaking into the first team back in 2014 but the winger has not quite been able to fulfill the hype that surrounding him, due to persistent injuries as well as lack of consistency.

With Aarons having entered the final year of his contract at St. James’ Park this summer, there were talks that Newcastle could potentially look to dispense with the services of the winger.

However, speculation regarding Aarons future at Newcastle has now firmly been put to rest after it was announced that the club have tied down the winger to a brand new five year contract.

Confirming the deal, Newcastle released the following post on their official Twitter page,

The long term deal is a testament to the fact that Newcastle rate Aarons very highly and the 20-year-old will now surely be looking to establish himself as a key player for the Magpies during the current Championship season.
