Florian Thauvin has finally completed his return to Olympique Marseille, reports The Chronicle.
The French club were forced to sell Michy Batshuayi earlier this summer or face sanction from Direction Nationale de Contrôle de Gestion, which regulates the finances of all Ligue Un clubs.
Now they are rebuilding although Thauvin is returning initially on a full one-year loan deal. At the time of writing, the value has yet to be confirmed but there is an option to make the deal permanent in the summer.
The club’s official Twitter feed has confirmed the deal:

As noted, Remy Cabella’s loan spell has now turned into a permanent deal. Cabella moved to Marseille as part of the deal which saw Thauvin move to St James Park. It’s been a disastrous move for the winger and draws a line under the matter.
Hopefully, he can perform and earn himself a move back to his homeland.
