Newcastle United have a glut of suitors for Moussa Sissoko, reports the Daily Mail, Independent and Evening Standard.
Everton, Tottenham and Chelsea are the three clubs said to be interested in the French midfielder. He has been given permission to leave Didier Deschamps’ French international camp to sort out his future.
Tottenham are baulking at the asking price of £30m, no doubt hoping that Newcastle will be desperate to sell but that doesn’t seem likely with the board seemingly determined to hold out for top dollar.
There’s no shortage of offers of a lift to wherever Moussa wants to go and he won’t be remembered fondly for the manner of his departure. He did well for us on the pitch but there are limits to the goodwill which can be extended to a departing player, particularly one who didn’t turn up for much of last season.
So farewell Moussa, good luck and don’t let the door hit you on the backside on your way out.
