  1. I’m still dancing around on the sidelines here peering in through the curtains. Moussa is sulking and shaking his head in one corner. Charnley is crying and looking extremely pitiful beside him. Can’t see the Everton group……..

      (Quote)

  2. Let me in there! I’ll sort it oot! One kick to the sack for Moussa and he’ll sign!!!!

      (Quote)

  3. what an absolute ****-take, Cuadrado resigns for Juventus from Chelsea on a THREE YEAR loan !

      (Quote)

  4. By the way, if we don’t need to spend any money in January, what a kitty we will have IF we get promoted!!!!

  5. Just to play devils advocate a bit, Sissoko is probably better than what he showed for us because he played under **** managers who didn’t know what to do with him. When he played for France and Benitez he played much better. He still had little end product though so I think 30 mil is a great deal. There will probably have been some worse deals made this window so we shouldn’t gloat too much.

If the deal goes through it will have been a perfect storm for NUFC for a player valued at 12-15 mil before he was MOM in a major final and the transfer market went absolutely batshit crazy

  6. This is turning into a long nightmare. Sign for somebody Sissy! We’re all bored with it now!!!!

  7. Oh dear! Spurs have matched Everton’s bid!!!! This is great to watch. Levy getting the run around off Rafa, Ashley and Charnley. 😀

  8. This could drag on to 1am. From the Daily Mail:

“Time to keep an ear open about the ‘deal sheet’ which is now in force…
    What is the ‘deal sheet’?

The deal sheet allows a club to confirm that a deal has been reached in order to allow for additional time to submit the remaining documentation.

All it needs is a signature from both clubs and the player to confirm the agreement of a transfer.

It needs to arrive fully completed before the transfer window closes (11pm BST). Once the sheet arrives, clubs have got until 1am in which to submit the full paperwork.”

  9. So Sammy has been shifted as well. Charnley actually seems to know what he is doing when it comes to doing deals. It is just a pity that him and Carr made that power grab and appointed Ugly John and Schteve.

      (Quote)

  10. Please god don’t let Levy get him, feel for Everton if he backs out now, they were up front and never pissed us about with derisory offers. If I was Mike I would be telling Sissoko’s agent our deal is with Everton and not Spurs and if he really wants out it’s the toffees or nothing.# look at what you could’ve had.

  11. when all is said and done, Rafa and Charnley have done an absolutely brilliant job of moving so many bodies in and out, though with the departure of Krul, Wijnaldum, Sissoko, Janmaat, and sadly Townsend, we’ve have had a massive drop off of quality in our first team squad. Should we gain promotion, Rafa needs to do the same next season to closd the gap between the Prem and Championship, because bog standard clubs like Stoke, West Brom etc have also all spent large amounts this preseason…fortunately Sunderland seem to be in the brown stuff because they have no money, plus noone wants to sign for them anyway..another relegation dogfight in the offing..

  12. Hey guys,

Good to get £30m for Sissoko! Great brinkmanship by Charnley and Benitez!

Any rumours of any incomings though? Or are we done?

      (Quote)

  13. We got bloody good money for Gini and (seemingly) Sissoko, Townsend went for good money via a release clause too. Janmaat was an ok player and we got ok money for him and Krul may well be back.

    Nothing really disappointing there!

      (Quote)

  14. Totally classless from Sissoko this like, all the way to Everton for a medical then says he don’t wanna join the second Levy comes back in. Making himself look a bigger **** by the minute.

      (Quote)

  15. MM: of the ones you mention, who will we truly miss? Gini and Andros I would say. Sissoko has burned too many bridges, many said Janmaat was not a good defender and we have more than adequate replacements for Timmy and he may not even be gone anyway.

The rest were fringe, inconsistent or always injured.

      (Quote)

  16. wow, some serious comings and goings at the toon, loads of loan deals being done too, with the Vukic’s and the Ameobis all finding new clubs. Rafa really has Penfold jumping through hoops at the moment !
Sissoko to Everton just isn’t a good fit, my money is on Spurs signing the grumpy one..

  17. Won’t miss anyone who don’t wanna be at club. Grass isn’t always greener, they’ll learn.

  18. If Sissoko chooses Spurs I doubt if it will harm any future dealing with Everton. Looks like Sissoko and Levy are the ones pissing about.

  19. Hahahahaha!! We’ve completely stitched up Levy. He thought he could wait and we would crack – well he was wrong! £30m!!!!!! 😕 😆

  20. People slated all of the players who have left. Can’t believe any of them will be missed in The Championship.

  21. Let’s be honest, Everton could have just upped their offer. But I suspect they realised what a toss pot Sissoko is by not answering Koemans calls.

That’s a club unlikely to do business with us again, thanks to that little *****

  23. Nee Sissoko deal done yet – Levy may have the last laugh yet with Everton pulling out.

Word from Everton is that Sissoko went missing for a few hours then decided he didn’t want to go there.

This could still all go to ratshit yet like ?

Don’t agree mate. Nothing to do with us if Sissoko and his agent are messing Everton around and trying to work the Spurs angle. Can’t believe it will affect their relationship with us.

      (Quote)

  25. Kim – Everton can’t have beef with us. I suspect they’ll be pissed with Sissoko and Spurs but not us. It’s Sissoko’s choice at the end of the day and they could have increased their offer.

  33. But Tottenham – who had had a £16million bid rejected this morning – returned with a £30m offer.

That is funny. They tried to get him for half price then had to come back and pay full asking price when they **** themselves and realised we were not messing about.

I just saw some kid I have never heard of move to a Championship aide for £5m. If some nobody is worth that sort of money then maybe £30m for Sissoko is not so outlandish. The market had gone bloody mental.

  34. You’ve got yourself nothing but trouble there Levy. And you overpaid by a huge amount. If this goes through that is. It stinks though.

  35. So now Sissoko tweets he’s there for 5 years, before Spuds get to make formal announcement . The guy has no class.

      (Quote)

  36. He has a real problem with his character. He will have a few good games but then he will not play as much as he wants then start messing about and playing like he has a tractor attached to his back.

      (Quote)

  37. Sissoko does have some good qualities. His direct running makes defenders **** themselves and if he can just lay it off to Kane, Erikson or Alli he might just work out for them. He really only had Cisse and Mitro to lay it off to when he played for us and they were likely to scuff it. If he plays to his strengths and doesn’t try to do too much he could be good for them (hope he isn’t though as Spurs and him have pissed everybody around).

I am not saying this is what WILL happen or changing my tune, but there were a few mitigating circumstances for why he never seemed to play to his full potential for us. We shall see how much of that was his attitude.

Everyone knows, I often said it when I was young, Arsenal is the club of my heart, because there were quite a few French players there like Thierry Henry, Robert Pires, Sylvain Wiltord, Patrick Vieira who was my idol. The beautiful Arsenal.’

“[Being coached by Zinedine Zidane] could be something fantastic, but that is not the case today.

“Everyone knows Zidane, his career, the man he is and the coach he is becoming. This is a great person in the world of football.

  40. Best bit of business we’ve done all window getting rid of that **** stick!!. Well done Rafa for keeping him away from the 1st team squad whilst we get momentum rolling this season.
We looked half decent against Brighton & that was without Mitrovic or Gayle, so let’s see what the season brings.
But if we are struggling come Jan, then we have a tidy pot to spend that’s to the sale of Sissoko.

Yedlin & Lazaar can play on the wings i believe. not their preferred position but if needs be. we also have Perez who can play on the left

its been a great window, reminds me of the Keegan days of buying who we need not coz theyre cheap and profitable

I was going to post this.

What an absolute **** this guy is.

From the day he signs for us, he talks of leaving. Then Arsenal are his dream club, then Real Madrid, he goes to Everton only to do one when Tottenham re-appear.

Pochettino doesn’t suffer fools so I wonder how long he’ll tolerate this ***** playing up.

I hope someone posts his Arsenal dream on Tottenham forums. Also feel sorry for Everton @# eeve been ****** around like this ourselves with the likes of Remy and Demba Ba.

The French footballets really seem more hassle than they’re worth.

Makes you respect how much of a good professional Gouffran is. Basically told to do one but grafts and earns a spot back in the team.

    Da Gouff is on fire.

Sham – I know, I was hopeful of another winger in – but wasn’t sold of McManaman to be honest.
He does seem to have Goufffran playing well at the moment too so that could carry us through until Jan.

  51. Rafa has certainly let it be known he didn’t think Gini, Sissoko or Janmaat were good for the club. He basically said he only wanted players who wanted to be here and one of the reasons we got relegated was due to poor atmosphere in the dressing room and having good players isn’t enough. He mentioned them three too!
