Newcastle United legend Micky Quinn has stated that Newcastle United’s dramatic 4-3 victory over Norwich City on Wednesday night ‘nearly gave him a heart attack’.
Having dropped points against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Aston Villa, Newcastle United headed into the clash against Norwich City on Wednesday night under a bit of pressure and the Magpies knew that they needed a victory from the encounter in order to avoid being cut adrift by teams at the top of the table.
It seemed like Newcastle United would be set for another disappointment after finding themselves 3-1 down during the 69th minute of the clash but much to the delight of the St. James’ Park faithful, Rafael Benitez’s men mustered up a stunning comeback.
Newcastle scored two goals in injury time and Dwight Gayle’s winner came as late as in the 97th minute of the game. Newcastle United fans are understandably very happy following the victory and now club legend Micky Quinn has also gone on to express his delight.
Quinn stated that the match ‘nearly gave him a heart attack’ but is pleased at the fact that Newcastle were able to grab all three points from the encounter.
Using social media website Twitter, Quinn posted,
