Newcastle United attacker Ayoze Perez has gone on to state that Rafael Benitez’s rotation policy is getting the best out of his abilities.
Ayoze Perez was expected to take the Championship by storm this season but it has to be said that the Spaniard has struggled a bit in the second tier of English football.
Nonetheless, Perez managed to show his quality during Newcastle’s 3-0 victory over Ipswich Town during the weekend by grabbing a wonderful brace on the day.
Following the exploits, Perez has now managed 5 goals in 11 appearances in all competitions for Newcastle so far this season and the 23-year-old will now surely be hoping to use the performance against Ipswich as a springboard to further success in the coming weeks.
Perez has understandably been left happy after the victory over the Tractor Boys and the youngster has now gone on to explain how manager Rafael Benitez’s rotation policy is getting the best out of him.
The ex-Tenerife star told the Chronicle, “You have to be strong mentally. You know you will get your chance and the manager always wants you to improve. You must be ready when it’s your chance. When the gaffer wants you it’s time to step up.”
