Speaking to talkSPORT (via Here is the City), former Newcastle United midfielder Dan Gosling has stated his belief that the Magpies will be able to earn promotion into the Premier League without any trouble whatsoever.

Newcastle United managed to recover from a poor start to the Championship campaign and following their wonderful run of five consecutive league victories, the Magpies have moved into the summit of the table recently.

Given the quality of their squad, many now expect Newcastle to hold on to top spot in the Championship throughout the rest of the campaign and it does look very likely that the Tyneside based outfit will be able to earn promotion this season.

Former Newcastle man Dan Gosling has now gone on to state his belief that the Magpies should be able to book their place back into the Premier League without any troubles whatsoever and also added that ex-teammate at Bournemouth Matt Ritchie is becoming a star at Tyneside due to his contribution.

Gosling told talkSPORT, “I spoke to Matt Ritchie since he’s been there, and he’s really enjoying himself. He’s becoming a star up there with his assists and goals. They’re doing really well and I expect them to go up with relative ease.”
