It has been some time now since Newcastle saw the back of their maverick Frenchman, Hatem Ben Arfa but is there a possibility that a Ben Arfa, mark two, could be on the horizon?
The man in question is none other than summer recruit, Yasin Ben El-Mhanni.
Since his signing, the exciting Ben El-Mhanni, has featured for Peter Beardsley’s Under 23 side. Playing a starring role in last night’s 2-0 win against Middlesbrough, at St. James’ Park.
When he arrived, the 21 year-old was famous for starring in boot commercials, but he is now beginning to make a name for himself on the big stage.
One thing is for sure, Newcastle fans will hope that this exciting talent goes on to have a starring role and no longer simply be a body double for skillful stars in adverts and with performances like last night, during which he stole the show in a game featuring Middlesbrough’s returning Grant Leadbitter, he is on the right road.
