New Boy Has His Say

As reported by The Chronicle, Achraf Lazaar is starting to draw comparisons between his current club and former employers Palermo.

Palermo, like Newcastle demand results and Lazaar has spoken of his fondness for his old club.

Lazaar told the Chronicle: “Palermo have a big fan base and they are very much behind the team too. If you don’t win the fans don’t like you, if you win they love you.

“The fans come to the training ground everyday. They stay near the team. As I say when you win you are a prince of the city, if you lose it’s hard.

“Winning in the city is very important to the fans.” This attitude is also one that can be found on Tyneside, where the pressure to get results is greater than perhaps anywhere in England.

Lazaar may not have broken into the first team yet, but it seems that when he does he will be well prepared.
