Tribute For NUFC Legend

As reported by NUFC.co.uk, when Newcastle travel to Leeds this Sunday, both clubs will pay tribute to Gary Speed in front of a sold-out Elland Road.

It seems that both clubs are planning a tribute to their former number eleven, who died on November 27th November 2011 totally shocking and shaking the football world in the process.

Members of Speed’s family will be attending the game at Elland Road on Sunday as both sets of supporters plan to come together in the 11th minute, with applause, to pay their respects to the former Welsh midfield player.

Last time that Newcastle United visited Elland Road in a competitive fixture, the two clubs found themselves locked in a thrilling 2-2 draw, with Alan Shearer scoring both goals for the Magpies and Speed fittingly featuring for the visitors.

Rafa Benitez’s men will be confident of a positive result and will no doubt have plans to better that 2-2 draw.
