Will Rafa Continue with His Rotation Policy? The Answer Comes Straight from The Horse’s Mouth

As reported by the Chronicle, Rafa Benitez has said that his rotation policy will continue, ahead of today’s clash with Nottingham Forest.

The Spaniard made it clear from the off, saying: “Obviously we have to change players, how many? We have to decide.

He also made it clear that he didn’t feel his rotation policy is anything out of the ordinary, adding: “Normally you have to rest some players.”

“Maybe some of the players may be a little bit tired but there are no injuries.

Rafa then went on to discuss the positives from Tuesday’s game against Hull, saying: “We played against a Premier League team and for a long time we were the better side. We have to manage and control the game at 1-0.

“We then allowed them to score and win on penalties.”

Looking back will not win Newcastle games in the future however, and Benitez also looked forward to today’s game against Nottingham Forest: “The Championship is always difficult but Forest are scoring goals and are difficult.

“We can challenge against strong teams. It was a positive night (at Hull) apart from the result.”
