NUFC’s Man Of The Moment Discusses A Potential Move

As reported by the Chronicle, after another brilliant cameo against Wigan, during which he grabbed the second goal, many people now seem convinced that Christian Atsu could well be the answer to many of Newcastle’s problems.

When asked about any potential permanent move, Atsu said: “Newcastle is a big club and I respect them.

“Right now I am concentrating on playing football.

“It is their decision at the end of the season.”

He also spoke highly of Rafa Benitez, who reaches his 1000th game in management this weekend, adding: “He is a great coach and great team manager.

“I am very pleased to work with him.

“He has given me a lot of confidence on the pitch and movement as a winger.

“With time I can improve more.”

The Ghana star also spoke of putting Newcastle before any international ambitions, for now,  saying: “I have more time to prepare for the African Cup, I am concentrating on Newcastle.”

One thing that could be said about Atsu is that he is clearly as positive off the pitch as he is on it, finishing by saying: “I am very happy to score, it was very important because we were under pressure.

“I was most happy that the team won though.

“I am really enjoying winning games.

“The city is nice and everything is working well.”
