As reported by the Chronicle, want away Newcastle midfielder Cheick Tiote could finally be set for his move away from Tyneside.
It seems as though Tiote has not wanted to be here for some time now and it seems as though Spanish side, Sporting Gijon, have registered an interest in the Ivorian enforcer.
In his time, Tiote was an excellent player. However, after years of reportedly being unhappy and many injuries, it surely must be time to try and get him moved on, for the good of both the club and Tiote himself.
The one problem with this though, as it seems to be more often than it should be, is the contract offer that he may receive from any potential new club.
It is rumoured that Tiote would demand a long contract length at any club but Newcastle and his wages don’t come cheap.
The report goes on to suggest that Sporting Gijon are now searching for a way to raise the funds for Tiote’s wages.
