As reported by the Chronicle, Matt Ritchie says that ‘revenge’ is not on his mind, or the minds of the Newcastle players, ahead of todays game.
Blackburn recently won at St James’ Park but Ritchie insists that will have no impact on todays game, saying: “I wouldn’t say we are out for revenge. We didn’t perform on the day but we’ll go there with a game plan and hopefully carry it out and three points is what we need.
“It’s important that we building on the Forest win because we’ve been on a good run already this season and we need to continue that.”
“I think we have been good at home, results have been better away but we have performed at home as well, but hopefully we can continue our away form because it’s been good.
“That’s the aim, we need to concentrate on what we’re doing. Blackburn is the next one and we continue to hopefully pick up points.”
